LOUIS P.O.V.
I slowed down the car when I arrived at Cheshire. I looked up at the GPS and I saw I only had to drive a few more miles to be at the restaurant and smiled to myself. I hope the chef will agree with it.
When I parked the car I walked to the restaurant and went inside. I looked around and it looked cozy. There was only one table filled with people around. While their laughs died away I looked at the bar and saw a girl with blonde long hair and a cute smile around her lips.
‘Hello miss.’ I smiled to her.
Her eyes looked at me as she turned around. ‘How can I help you sir?’
‘Ehh, some friends of mine told me that the food must be good here. Of course I trust them and I’d love to talk to the chef if that’s possible..?’
‘Of course, he isn’t too busy right now. I’ll go take a look. Wait a moment please.’
‘Sure.’ I sat down at a bar chair as she walked to the kitchen. My phone vibrated so I pulled it out and saw it was a text from El.
“Where are you at babe? Xxx”
“I’m at Zayn’s xxx”
“Why? Xxx”
“Because he’s a friend…? ”
“Okay, sorry bae :* love you xxx <3”
And that is how our conversations always went.. Every time I do something without telling her she asks me why and I’m getting pretty sick of that to be honest. But of course, I still love her.
A deep voice pulled me out of my thoughts. ‘You wanted to talk to me sir?’ He smiled at me with his green eyes.
‘Well first of all, I want to introduce myself of course.’ I chuckled softly. ‘I am Louis Tomlinson.’ He shook my hand.
‘Harry Styles, nice to meet you Louis.’
‘Nice to meet you too, so what I wanted to ask.. Friends of mine told me there was some great food here and that the chef was responsible for that. As bad as I am with making food ready I wanted to ask if you, the chef, could come to my house to make a dinner for my girlfriend and me..’
‘Oh.. well when is the dinner for her?’
‘It’s a surprise for her so we can fit it in your schedule if you want.’
‘Yes of course, I would love to. Is it possible to do it next week? Because the restaurant is closed next week.’
‘That’s perfect! If it’s possible I prefer to have it on the Friday..’
‘That’s not a problem for me.’ He smiled again.
‘Super so I’ll write my number and address down so you can still contact me.’ I looked for a paper and a pen and wrote it quickly down. ‘I hope you can read my handwriting.’ I added a short laugh with it.
‘I can read Gemma’s handwriting so I will be able to read yours too.’ A smirk formed on his face.
The girl looked at Harry and rolled her eyes. ‘Says the one with a handwriting worse than a toddler.’ Gemma poked him in the side. Harry looked at her and laughed.
‘Guys I must be going now, it is quite a long drive home. And Harry, if the distance is too long I will pay you more for it. That’s the least I can do then.’
He looked at the paper. ‘Oh you live in Doncaster, no it’s not a problem.’
‘Okay, thank you Harry and Gemma.’ I smiled at them.
‘Have a safe trip home.’ I heard Gemma say when I walked out the door.
HARRY P.O.V.
As soon as I wanted to knock on the door Louis already opened it. ‘That was quick.’ I laughed shortly. ‘Yeh, heard your car stop when I walked pass the door. Welcome.’ He stepped back so I could walk in. He closed the door behind me. ‘Eleanor isn’t here yet but I think she will be here soon.’
‘That’s great.’ I looked around and something caught my eye. It was a painting of Louis and a girl, I assume she was Eleanor, who both looked really happy on it. Eleanor kissed Louis’ cheek and they were sitting on a bench in a park. It was a really beautiful painting.
Louis caught me on looking at the painting and mumbled something. I think it was like “That was a perfect day.” I looked at him and noticed he smiled, looking at the both of them. They must really love each other.
After a moment of silence and looking at the painting Louis talked. ‘Yeh, ehh.. I’ll show you the kitchen..’ he said kind of awkward.
‘Okay.’ I said as I followed him. I placed my bag with the food at the table.
‘Can I help you or..?’ he asked friendly.
‘Nah I’m alright.’ I smiled at him briefly.
‘Okay, if you ehh need anything just call me, okay?’
‘yep.. hey Louis, how long have you and Eleanor been together already?’
‘Like a year by now. I think she deserved a surprise for that.’ He chuckled. ‘Because it must be hard to be in a relationship with me.’
‘Hey, she dates you for a year like you said, I don’t think it is that hard then.’ I said as I started to cut the vegetables.
‘Thank you, that’s nice to say.’ He smiled again. I caught myself on liking his smile. But seriously, it is. Just the way his lips curl into a smile and then his eyes that lighten a bit up. It’s beautiful.
‘I should go make the living room ready so..’
‘Okay, in half an hour everything is ready.’ I said to him and he nodded when he walked away.
Just as he was done setting the table I walked to him. ‘I’m done with making the dinner.. isn’t she here yet?’
He sighed. ‘No she isn’t..’
‘I’m sorry mate..’ I patted his shoulder. ‘Call her, maybe she is stuck in traffic..?’
‘Yeh will do that.’ He answers as he takes out his phone. I see him dialing her number and I stay quiet. I swing the kitchen towel over my shoulder and look at him. He leaves a message on her voicemail and hides is phone in his pocket again.
‘Didn’t pick up?’
‘Nope.’ He sat down.
I stayed silent because I didn’t know what to say. I don’t understand why she isn’t turning up yet and as I look at him this is not the first time she did it. He doesn’t even look surprised anymore.
‘Does she do this more often?’
‘Actually, yes she does. And I’m sick of waiting on her.’ I noticed there was some anger in his voice and I bite my lip.
‘Again, I’m sorry Louis..’ I just didn’t know what to say.
‘You know what Harry, your food really seems delicious and it’s a waste if we had to throw it away. Just stay here and eat it with me, if you want.’ He sounded really serious.
‘Thank you, I will just bring this away.’ I say as I hold the towel and I bring it back to the kitchen. When I come back I place the rest of the food on the table and sit across him. He looks one more time on his phone and I shake my head softly. ‘Let her be, Louis. Just enjoy my great food.’ I say as I laugh with the last part.
He laughs back and says ‘Yeh you’re right mate. We better enjoy the delicious food.’
