I looked at the pictures burn, and ashes form. My lungs inhaling the scent. I stared at the last picture. Of me and Her. Kayla. My best friend, heart, soul, and the reason why I chose to live. But then she left me by myself. Dumped me for a boy with a mustache named Alex.And kissed him in front of me. I stared at how happy we were. Our faces filled with excitement. I missed those days. Summer. When we were happy. Smiling at something foolish.
I missed us.
Everything about it.
I shoved the picture in my pocket. Then I lifted myself from the ground and walked away. The night sky painted a painful purple, and the moon a dingy yellow. I smiled, remembering our first kiss together at the park across the street. Being rebels against our parents and sneaking out past midnight.
Then it pained me. Reminding me how she set fire to my lungs and walked away laughing and expecting me to live. She took my heart with her. To destroy me of what little life I had left. I don't ever think I'll love again.
For she caused the pain in my chest.
I'm not sure how people live with heartbreak. It's awful. Knowing the person you once loved cut the string that you both were attached to. And let you fall off a cliff to die. While you watch them kiss another boy in front of you. If your in love your the lucky ones. 'Cause most of us our bitter over someone.
I saw the tears slowly escalate from my eyes. They slid down. I watched as people my age smile with their lovers. Looking at them I wondered why I wasn't happy. Why I couldn't find the perfect one? My one and only soul mate. Then I saw the headlights turn my way. Charging towards me. Then we collided together as if it was a boxing match, and sadly I lost.
My body went limp as I saw a beautiful angel run out the car and to my side.
Here came another heartbreak.
