"Hello, are you new in town? I've never seen you before."

Yoongi stopped, anxiety surging through him. A thought of the Jeon family flickered across his mind. What if they recognized him? Would they threaten him, forcing him to flee South Korea on his very first day back?

"Are you lost?"

Yoongi whipped around to see a boy with silver hair, his smile crinkling his eyes. He smelled like honey – a soft, soothing scent that put Yoongi slightly at ease. An omega.

"No, not really. I grew up here. Used to live above the flower shop in front of us. I'm the former owner, well, my mother was."

The boy's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh no!" he blurted, "Are you Min Yoongi?"

Yoongi stared at the boy. He didn't recognize him. How did he know his name? Was he one of Jungkook's friends? Or perhaps... his mate? A pang of jealousy, sharp and unexpected, pierced him at the thought.

He looked away, then found his gaze pulled back to the flower shop like a magnet.

"Yes," Yoongi replied vaguely, his eyes glued to the shopfront. "Do you know Jeon Jungkook?"

The boy's smile widened even further. "I'm Park Jimin, his friend! And I think Kookie and Jungwoo will be so happy to finally meet you again, come on!"

Jungwoo? Who was Jungwoo? A knot of dread tightened in Yoongi's stomach as he remembered the bank account he'd found. What had Mrs. Jeon done?

"Yoongi? C'mon!" Jimin's voice echoed, and the omega grabbed his arm, pulling him towards the shop. Panic flared in Yoongi's chest.

"Wait, what do you mean?"

"You'll know soon!" Jimin chirped.

They were entering the mini garden in front of the shop when a movement caught Yoongi's eye.

There he was, standing in the open doorway, staring down at him and Jimin who had stopped abruptly. Every nerve ending in Yoongi's body came alive, electrified. He choked on a breath. Oh, how he'd missed him.
