"Hayli!" My name is heard from the Math hall in the upstairs building of our Junior High.

I walk down the ramps to the Language Hall.

"You summoned me, Ashley?" I laugh, as Anthony rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, hey, before the bell rings, Jonathon likes you. Got to go! Bye!" He says quickly.

I run to catch up with him.

"What?"

"He wants to ask you out. To wimp to do it." He laughs.

"I'll text him." I mumble, walking to Algebra.

H: Hey, Anthony says you like me ... I don't trust him😂

J: He's right about that one.

H: So he's not lying?¿

J: Nope.

H: Wait, so you're really asking me out?

J: Yep.

H: Then yes ☺️

J: ☺️

And that's how it started. ︎Jonathon and I texted non-stop, and I eventually made my way to Lunch, where he trotted happily to the end of the table.

"***** (Blurring out last names (:), what are you doing here?" Dalton asked.

"I'm sitting with my girlfriend." ︎Jonathon replied. Isabel was awkwardly sitting between us, not purposely.

I blushed as Caitlin laughed.

"You're dating Isabel?" Dalton laughed.

"You retard." Michelle laughs. "Hayli, dingus, Hayli. He's dating Hayli."

"That makes ALOT more sense." Dalton shakes his head.

"Wait how'd you know?" Jonathon asks Michelle.

"I took Hayli's phone." She laughs.

︎Jonathon looks at me.

"I have weird friends, what can I say?" I laugh.

We talked amount ourselves, earning the occasional pervertive comment from Dalton.

The bell rang, even though we all dreaded 6th period. I had Language arts, along with Michelle and Isabel. Caitlin had the same class, too.

"Promise me one thing," I say.

"Yeah?" He texts back.

"Fix me. " And I put my phone on the charger.

"Hayli," Jonathon texts back. "I'll promise if you promise."

"Promise."

"Promise."

"Goodnight."

"Goodnight."
