My past...?

If one were to ask me about it, I'd say I don't remember it at all.

It might sound like bullshit bit it's the truth.

I only remember the bit's of my childhood that I spent with my best friend.

I remember the first day we met as if it was just yesterday...

Really, it was six years ago.

He was sitting alone on the playground,  watching the other kids play with each other. 

Whoever the adult was that was with me (he had a dark suit, spikey brown hair and red eyes) had gone off somewhere else and left me there. I never saw them again after that.

Anyway, I had walked up to the boy because he looked lonely.

"Why arent you playing with the other kids?" I asked him, curious.

"Hm? Oh, because I don't fit in." He replied softly.

"Oh, they don't want to play with you?" 

"No, I don't think so..." He said with a sad smile. 

I felt sad for him, he shouldn't be alone like this.

"Do you have any friends that live nearby?" 

"No, I never had any friends..."

His words were heartbreaking... I needed to do something.

"Oh, well I don't have any friends either since i just moved here. So, maybe I can be your friend?"

"...you'll be my friend?" He asked his eyes lighting up.

"Yes of course! I'm Y/N L/N by the way, I just moved here from America! Nice to meet you!" I took his hand in mine.

"I'm Nagito Komeada, nice to meet you too." He said shaking my hand.

At that moment, a beautiful friendship was born.

I made my first friend in Japan and we stuck together for six years.

We truly are the best of friends. We'd do almost everything together. He'd listen to my rants about school and other things, if I was upset he'd stay by my side until i felt better, he always finds ways to make me laugh everyday... The list could go on and on.

Ah, speak of the devil, here he comes now.

"Hi Y/N, are you ready to head home?" He smiled at me.

By now we are 2nd years at Hopes Peak High School.

"Oh yeah. Let me just get my homework from Chisa." I smiled back at him.

"Okay."

-Nagito's P.O.V.-

I have the most beautiful friend ever.

Is it weird to think of you're best friend like that?

Well it's the truth.

I've felt, since the day we met, that Y/N is an angel sent from heaven to give me a chance at life. A beautiful angel with a future that shines as brightly now as it did six years ago. 

She deserves to be here unlike me. Because despite her unknown past and her mystery talent, she is amazing. 

She says that luck is my talent, but I say that luck is fixed. 

"Okay, are you ready to go Nagito?" 

But my good luck must not have completely abandoned me if someone like me has been friends with Y/N for six years.

"Yeah, let's go. Fuyuhiko and Souda are waiting for us."

"Actually Souda is going to hang out with Sonia at the cafe today." She said happily.

"Wait, she seriously said yes to him?" I asked, shocked.

"Yeah, I was surprised too." She laughed.

"Let's go see how they are doing then."

"Okay."

-Smol time skip-

We met up with Fuyuhiko and walked over to the cafe... only to find that Souda was too scared to go in a face Sonia and was trying to run away.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Y/N asked startling him. 

"Ah! Y/N! Guys! Um I was just... uh..."

"You were too big of a pussy to go see her right?" Fuyuhiko accused. 

"Uh... yeah..."

All three of us gave him a look. 

"I can't believe you would just leave her there like that!" Y/N said with an incredulous tone in her voice.

"What, do you think she is too good for you?" I asked.

"Are you shitting me?! She's way out of my league! She's a literal princess! There's no way she could be with me, much less like me."

Y/N's eyes lit up with determination.

"How could you say that?! Of course she will like you! If she didn't want to get to know you she would've just said no to your offer this morning!" She said waving her arms up and down.

"Well yeah but-"

"Sonia isn't one to just go back on what she said unless it's for good reason! She wants to get to know you, and you just ditch her because you're scared she won't like you?! What kind of a man stands up a girl like that?! Only a coward would do that!" 

"But Y/N I-"

"Like I said, she wants to get to know you, so just show her you're cool side! Show her the Souda that hangs out with us everyday and you can't go wrong, trust me! You're a really cool guy! And if she can't see that after this whole thing is over, then she's not worth it! But at least give it a shot and if it's a success then you can build up from there. Just don't be such a... um... what's the word?"

"Pussy?" Fuyuhiko said.

"Yes! Thank you. Go to her Souda. And let us know how it goes." Y/N finished with a kind smile on her face.

"Yeah... I guess your right Y/N! I should at least give it a shot! I'll let you guys know how it goes tonight." Souda said. Then he entered the cafe with newfound determination.

See? This is why she is amazing. She was able to get Souda to turn his attitude around in just a few seconds. She's talented like that.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" She asked me.

"Huh? Was I? Sorry..."

"Let's just get going." Fuyuhiko started walking away. 

"Okay." 

-Y/N's P.O.V.-

We walked home together talking about random stuff as per usual.

However, it felt as though... someone was watching us the whole time... 

Someone familiar.

-Unknown's P.O.V.-

It seems that things are worse than I thought.

The two main targets are never alone, always around other people.

I'll need to get rid of their friends first before I can destroy them. 

It may take more time but it will certainly be more effective.
