i slammed the counter using both of my hands

"i wanted to be their body guard"
the lady at the counter blinked

"are you sure ma'am? are you a professional?"
i laughed

"(not so) totally"
i raised my chin up
and the lady arched a brow
she pointed at the seat beside me signaling me to sit down
