Jennie knew she was smaller than most girls, didn't really have friends either. There was one girl that was inseparable to her, though.

Jennie remembers when they were younger, Jisoo was the analytical one of the two of them. They became friends in early October, the 4th to be exact.

"Who's next?" The man asked, helping a little girl off of a pony.

People were laughing, eating candied apples and picking pumpkins.

How Jennie loved this time of year.

Jennie raised her hand politely, smiling big.

"Well, look who it is, Miss Jennie Kim!" He said fondly, ruffling her hair, her bangs getting in her face.

She blowed air on them and smiled again.

"That's not fair, I've been standing in that line for like, six minutes longer than her." A short girl, taller than Jennie, said.

"It's okay, you can go if you want." Jennie said.

"I- What?"

"I said you can go if you want?" The ten year old Jennie repeated to the 11 year old Jisoo.

"I-I didn't wanna go on that stupid pony, anyway,"

"Me neither. I'm Jennie," Jennie stuck her hand out. "Wanna be friends?"

Jisoo's eyes glistened, before taking Jennie's hand.

"Friends.." she said softly, the word making her eyes burn.

"I'm Jisoo."

"Not to be weird or anything but you're beautiful." Jennie complimented, her cheeks reddening.

"You're pretty too." Jisoo smiled, intertwining their hands. "Let's go get corn dogs." The older said.

Jennie smiled, thinking about that memory.

"Hello? Earth to Jennie Kim!" Jisoo yelled through the phone.

"Crap, yeah, hey. Just zoning out, yknow? Jennie things." She said quickly, blushing.

"Mhm." Jisoo smirked. "So, what were you thinking about?"

"Remember when we were kids? When we first met? Remember when we got corn dogs?"

"God you were so short," Jisoo laughed, "but yeah, I do. It's one of the best memories I've ever made. Thank you for that." Jisoo's cheeks reddened.

"Your hair was still black back then," Jennie laughed. "You should come over. We could invite Hongjoong and Seonghwa, play some games."

"Ew god, I don't wanna see Seonghwa's face right now." Jisoo rolled her eyes.

"What why?" Jennie asked, she only had three friends and if they weren't getting along that would be horrible for her.

"He said I looked like a lallaloopsie with my new hair! Do you know what I'd do when I got my hands on him?" She said angrily.

"Oh my god." Jennie laughed, covering her mouth.

"Hey! This isn't funny."

"It's hilarious, Chi Choo." Jennie calmed down.

"Yeah yeah, whatever. So I'm gonna go over?"

"I mean I'd like that, yes."

"Okay.. but you better keep that sadistic toxic masculinity body bui-"

"Jisoo! We get it you hate Seonghwa." Jennie chuckled nervously.

Jisoo made a 'nnnnngggngngnhnhnnn...' noise, before hanging up.

Jennie sighed contently, texting the group chat her plans.
