When I walked into her room, it looked like a bomb exploded in there.
There were clothes everywhere, stacked books on the floor and her bed was covered in Polaroid photos.
"What happened here?" I laughed and looked around.
"I'm decorating," she answered and chuckled.
"And that's the reason why all these photos lay on your bed?"
"Exactly."
She grinned and sat down at her desk.
"But you're not decorating your closet too, are you?" I joked and she tilted her head, replying to me, kidding her.
"Obviously not. I'm just lazy." Max replied with a played annoyed undertone and grinned.
We fell into laughter when she tried to stay serious and I nodded as if I knew exactly what she's talking about.
"Come on now, we've got to do a lot today," she directed me to sit down next to her.
"Concentrate. You know how to calculate this," she encouraged me, after the felt thousand exercise.
I sighed and thought about how to get the total of the third triangle.
"See, you know how."
My glare over to her would have killed her, if it was possible. However, she did not allow herself to be distracted and continued. After two and a half hours math torture, my attention shifted over to the thoughts in my head, related to Noel and me.
"What's wrong? You're totally off?" Max asked me, I looked up and saw the typical a friend who's worried eyes. "Noel's an idiot." I sighed and she tilted her head curiously.
When I opened my mouth to explain her what happened, I wasn't able to say a word, because she interrupted me.
"Okay, who am I kidding, he told me about you two." She smiled and I frowned in confusion. I didn't think much about it, so I replied to her with the most simple answer, which could have given me a hell of information.
"Yeah, but he lied to me."
I could see that she felt pity for me and I hoped she knew some more details and was about to tell her so hurt friend, because her boy was lying to her. Well, I knew it wasn't fair to use her to get some information about the phone call Noel lied about, but it seemed like she was the only person who would have told me the truth. Even though I wasn't sure if he told her about the lie or just about our relationship. So my hopes weren't high.
"I know. He's scared how you will react to it," she said and her eyes widened. I needed a second to realize what she said, because now I knew I had the chance to get some answers and tried to hold back my excitement.
"You two spoke about that?" I asked her disbelievingly.
"Yeah, well."
I shook my head, now my head played with me. What if he lied to her too? What if Noel just never tells the truth and might just wanted me to get into his bed too, but because he knew I wouldn't, he plays a game.
Those thoughts were so unnecessary and stupid, Noel would never do something like that to me, would he?
My thoughts were running wild and I had to clear my head. I had to get answers.
"So you know that he lied?" I finally asked after my mind could catch a clear thought again.
Max nodded slowly, "I'm sorry. I would like to tell you what all this is about, but I promised him not to."
