Downtown.
Lights on buildings and everything makes me wonder.
And in that moment, I swear I was infinite.----
I am staring at the mirror in the principal room and preparing myself for the new chapter of life. Forgetting every single things that have an intoxicating past with me itself.
With my brunette hair collaborating with a pale pink cropped tee and a denim skirt colored baby blue with white converse and a black kanken backpack.
"So, are you ready for your first class, Mrs. Rivers?"
I woken up from my speculations of how my life here will be like and nodded at the principal, Mr. Jose. He gave me a few papers about documentaries of this school's studies and some school stuffs.
"Let's go to your class." A young lady said and walked while touching my shoulders. I hugged my mom who still sat down in front of Mr. Jose. "Have a nice day, baby." She said and rubbing up and down my back as I hold up my tears.
I followed the young lady from her behind as we walked, "So if you're wondering, I'm your math teacher, Eleanor. You can call me miss Elle or just Elle." She said giving me her bright smile.
I smiled, "I'm Amanda Rivers."
"Amanda. That's a really beautiful name."
"Thankyou Elle."
Until we arrived at a door written 'Biology' and I guess this is my first class. I entered the class as everybody stopped talking and put their eyes on me in silent.
Mrs. Elle left as I entered the class and in just 3 seconds, "got a new whore, everybody." A boy from behind shouted and the whole class laughing. I sat on the second row from front in the left side of the class.
I put my bag and take my notebook and cellphone. "Where you from, lil strangy?" A girl shouted from the front side, "Cali." I answered with a normal voice. "Why the hell did you move to Illinois?! God, California is fresher than here." Said a girl behind me.
I look in her direction and smile, "that's because you lived in Illinios. I'll find somewhere to start over beside my supposed place." I said as she chuckled.
"Maeve." She gave her hand as I shook it, "Amanda."
God, finally I got one friend here.
