Chapter 2~the case

A/N- This chapter is based on the episode "She" 16x13.
Ellie's pov
"Grab your gear," said Gibbs. Nick carries my bag for me. "thanks Nick". Well, that was weird. He has never done that. I mean I definitely don't mind. I just really don't want anything to change between us. Well, maybe I do. No Ellie stop it. This would never work. It's never going to happen. Me and the team arrive at the scene. We find a little girl who has clearly not eaten and has been abused. Everyone tries to talk to her. But when I try she seemed to feel more comfortable with me. I ask "hey, what's your name?" "Lily, what's your name?" "my name is Ellie. So Lily where is your mom?" " The man he hurts us. She told me to give this to you." Lily hands me a doll. " please save my mommy" Gibbs gives me an evidence bag. So I put the doll in the bag. We all finish up with the scene. Me and Torres get in one car while Gibbs and Mcgee get in the other car.
Nicks Pov
This case is already bothering me. How can someone do this to a child? This is one of the things I hate in the world. I just don't get how someone could be so cruel to a little girl like Lily. Ellie gets in the car. She looks really upset. I don't blame her. But we have to stay focused on the case and not getting personally involved. I hear Ellie sniffle. I notice she's crying so I pull the car over. "What are you doing Nick?" I just hug her. She starts to cry into my shoulder. " It's ok Ell." she pulls away from the hug and just looks at me. Wow, she's just so beautiful. We end up just looking at each other for a few seconds. I finally just turn around and start driving again. Things are quiet for the rest of the ride. We get back to NCIS. We find out that the mom has been missing for 10 years. So me and Ellie go down to go through old case files. In the reflection of the glass, the person who is taking the picture is shown. " Nick that's Ziva." Ellie runs off to take a call. She's starting to get too involved in this case. This isn't going to end well.
