Have you ever wondered why? Just why? Not why did he do that or why can't I do this, just why? Why are we here? Why am I here? Why do I have to be here? I'm just one person who will make no difference to the world so why?
That one little word can change someone's life to the better or the worse. But why am I telling you this? Well why not?

My name is Ruby Michaels, I'm 16 and I live in a small town in the uk called Upwood. My best friend is Molly, she's a dog. She comes everywhere with me, even school. I don't know what I look like or much about me. You see I'm blind. I wasn't always blind. I used to see the vivid colours of the world, the blue sky, the green grass, things that most people take advantage of. I was diagnosed with when I was 5. It put my childhood to an end all too quickly. But you see doesn't make you fully blind just makes everything lose it's shape and colours not as vivid. Some doctors thought they found a cure, they thought I'd be a good candidate but the procedure didn't work and I was left fully blind. I would explain to you what it's like but I can't. It's the hardest thing in the world to explain.
You see I'm that book which no one wants, the one that's falling apart and pages missing and is just unwanted...
To make my life worst my mum died in a car crash 2 years ago. She was the only one who understood me. My dad panicked and sent me to my grandparents. My grandparents are quite young, they're also very active so I suppose it was okay. But when they get older I won't have them to look after me. I won't have anyone...
I've had Molly since after the procedure when I was 7 so she knew everywhere I go. But my grandparents are having a hard time. They're become bankrupt and are having a hard time to pay off loans. So we moved.
