Error's POV

I noticed Ink closing his eyes and after a few moments, he would open them. This cycled for a few minutes and I feel bothered.

"Hey, are you OK?" I asked him and he just smiled at me.

"Oh, yes. I'm just out in space... In space." Ink responded which I don't believe. I mean, who would?

"Spit it out, shorty." I kinda demanded.

He sighed and looked back at the stars. "I don't like the dark." He finally said.

Ink and I share a lot in common. That's why we were friends back then. We hate the endless white void and the dark. A lot more interests I never wanna get attached nor got back to ever again.

"If you're afraid of the dark. Whenever you close your eyes, let the stars remind you that they are shining for you." I told him. His face showed a confused one. "Do I have to explain?"

"Oh no. I totally understand that and  thank you but... It's a familiar sentence you know. Someone used to always tell me that." Ink said. Looking back at what he said, I did said those words whenever we go to sleep.

As I was surrounded in thoughts, I didn't noticed Ink is already resting. I didn't rest like a very long time. A nap wouldn't hurt and no one can find us, right? This is our secret place after all as he mentioned... Did he? Ahh! Whatever. I'm tired at all this work creating has done for me and this squid did to me. I'm just gonna take a nap.

Ink's POV

"If you're afraid of the dark. Whenever you close your eyes, let the stars remind you that they are shining for you."

"Please do tell who you are." I slowly reached at him.

   "Don't forget."

He's a mystery. He's part of my memory. I just need to find him! But everything is dim.

He held my hand and gave me a notebook that's labeled 'Diary'

"It's mine." I looked at him questionably, he nodded his head.

As I opened it and fell to my demise.

Death caught me on his arms. Or as I described him while my eyes are closed. I slowly opened them and saw no other than Dream himself.

"The diary is nothing but trouble. Burn it." He said and dropped me as he searched for it.

"But I can't find it, Dream. Ink hid it somewhere where we can't find it." Blueberry said, popping up from nowhere.

"It's only a matter of time he remembers where he hid it and read the diary. It's for his safety, Blue. Hurry before he arrives home."

"Ink! Wake up and go back here. You need to find the diary." Blue said.

     Before I knew, I was surrounded by defeaning words. I tried to block them but there was too many people telling me to;

   "Find the Diary."

   "Find the Diary, Ink."

   "Find the Diary."

   "Find the Diary."

   "Find the Diary."

   "Find the Diary."

   "Find the Diary."

   "Find the Diary."

   "Find the Diary."

    "Find the Diary."

    "FIND THE DIARY."

    "WAKE UP!"

     "WAKE THE HECK UP!"

   ...

The barrier was destroyed. I jolted up and hugged the first thing I saw. Error.

A genuine feeling overcomes me and the next thing I knew, I was staining Error with my ink tears.

"I-I'm sorry, did I wake y-you up?" I said as I stumbled my words.

"Come on, let's go back to work to clear up you mind." Error said. I could tell he's resisting his fear for me.

I wiped my tears away and he stood up. He offered his hand to help me up and I accepted it. As we were walking back to our building place, I slowly went close to his personal space. I hugged his arm. He flinched a bit and overcome it in not a very long time.

"I feel unsafe with Blue and Dream." I told him.

"There's many AUs that can make you feel home and less lonely." Error said.

"Yes but the point is... Even though there are gazillions of them. I still feel alone." I truthfully said.

"Then, what am I supposed to do? I'm not expert in any of this, Ink." He said making me laugh a bit. I kinda forgot about that.

"Then I could share your house. We built it together so I could stay whenever I like." I beamed at him which he looked aways and sighed while a tint of blush appeared on his cheek.

"Fine, shorty. Don't stay too long though." I was gonna jump and do a happy dance when we finally arrived at our destination.

We went back to work and I am more inspired than before.
