Ch-16- Will they meet again?

Shandy's Bar was their usual spot and the manager knew them well.
He drank and drank till wee hours of the morning until the manager had to call Sam and get him home.

"I reall..y like (hic) her. Please tell her to talk to me.", he kept on slurring.
"She will.",Sam assured and made him sleep.

"I don't know how this has happened. I am really worried. Meet me soon. We need to interfere now.", Sam said to Zahra on the call.
"Yes. She is here for meeting me. I will try and know something from her. You take care of him.", Zahra replied and hung up.

"Hi Keya!", she said with a hug.
"Hie Zee!", she replied with a wide smile, hugging back, as if everything was fine.
"Are you fine?", she asked.
"Yes. Why? ", she asked keeping her phone on the table and continued, "Mom! Where are you?", to meet her mom as well.
"The things between...", Zahra trailed.
"Oho! Me and Aarav? Don't worry. I don't think it was that serious too. He will be fine and better off without me. We are good as friends only.", she said casually shrugging.
"But..", Zahra tried to say something but Keya's mom came.
"Hi Maa.", she hugged.
"Hi! What's going on with you?", her mother asked hugging back.
"Nothing maa, almost done with my research work. Ready to be submitted.", she beamed.

Keya's phone rang.
"Maahi calling at this hour!?", she said rather exclaimed with a small frown.

K-Hello?
M- Sanskaar bhul gyi, Humare yaha aaj bhi Chacha ko Satsriakal kehte hai.
K-Koun hai!? Hello! Maahi? Maahi?
M- Arrey! Maahi meri bhatiji hai. Poora dhyaan rakhenge usska. Tuhje chachu ki yaad naa aati? Na papa ki?
K- *scared* Maahi kaha hai?
*hears muffled screams in the background*
K-Chachu, Leave Maahi Please! Maahi ko chhod do!
M-Arrey! Chhod denge! Itni kya jaldi hai. Khatirdaari karke chhodenge. Le baat kar ussey.
K-Hello Maahi!
M- Didi! Di! Please wapis aa jaao! Di I am scared!  please Di!
M- Bus! Bohot baat ho gyi! Keya Mittal, jitni jaldi tu aayegi, utni Maahi ko kam taklif denge. Jaldi aa ghar. Mohali. Maahi ko zinda dekhna hai toh.
*hung up*
K- hello? Maahi? Chachu? Mein...

She plopped down on the grounded, scared with tears springing out of her eyes.
"I shouldn't have left her alone Maa!", she said hugging her mother who came next to her.
Zahra got her a glass of water.
"They got her! Maa! They got her!", she kept on repeating.
"Okay. Okay! Crying would not solve it, Now what next?", her mom said rubbing her shoulders, calming her down.
"I am leaving for India tonight.", she said wiping her tears and getting up.
"I will come with you. You are not going alone.", her mom declared.
"No mom! You cannot! I will go and get her as soon as possible. I will not let them do anything to her.", she said with determination.
"Keya, how will you fight alone? They are very dangerous! ", Zahra said scared.
"The only thing I know right now is, Maahi needs me. I am going.", she said and left for her home to pack necessary things.

"Oh god. My head feels like shit!", Aarav exclaimed waking up.
"What am I doing at your house?", He asked Sam looking around.
"You are hungover my boy. Here drink this.", he gave him lime juice with headache medication.
"Where are you going?", Aarav asked as he noticed Sam collecting his watch and wallet from the side table.
"Airport.", he replied in brief.
"Why?"
"Keya is leaving for India. They found Avani.", he said in a serious voice with a sigh.
"When did this happen? For how long was I out? Why is Keya is going alone?", he asked all at once getting up from the couch.
"This happened today morning. You were out from yesterday night till now. Its her wish to go alone. She says she can't risk more people's lives into this.", Sam answered patiently.
"I am coming to the airport.", Aarav said taking fresh pair of clothes from Sam's cupboard.
"Okay.", Sam said shrugging.

"Took all what you wanted to?", Zahra asked.
"Yes.", Keya replied distracted.
"She will be fine. Be back soon.", Vee assured giving her a hug.
"I hope they don't harm her. She is still so little and innocent. But I will bring her back.", she said wiping a few tears.
"She will be fine. She has you.", someone came from behind and whispered in her ears, hugging her.
It was Aarav.

She turned around and hugged him tight and he responded back, saying soothing words to her.
"Can you come with me for a moment?", she whispered in his arms.
"We will be back in a moment.", he announced and walked a little away from everyone.

"Listen Aarav. What I am about to tell you is extremely important for me. Please listen carefully.", she said with some secrecy in her voice.
He just nodded.
"I am.. I am being strong but I have no idea about what is to happen in India. I don't know when I will be back or even if I will be back. Please take care of things here. Please be there for Maa and Vee, if possible. They will want to take every revenge of what I did years ago. I do not know what is to happen so this is to remain with you. I am entrusting you with everyone here. Do not panic everyone by saying the truth that I just said. Goodbye.", she completed and hugged him tight.
"Why are you doing this? Please let me come with you.", he almost pleaded.
"Last time someone took my side. He paid for the consequences in the worst way. I cannot let you be him. I need you and your well being. Okay?", she said keeping a hand on his shoulder.
"Whatever happened yesterday night, I don't want you to think much about it. Whenever you will need me, I am just a call away. All on all, We are best of friends Keya, and we will always be. Be safe, okay?", he said with shaky voice.
"Yeah. Lets go.", she said adjusting her pixie cut hair.
"All good?", Sam asked.
"Yes. Bye.", she said hugging all of them one by one.
This side, knowing that she might not be back, his eyes watered up.
