Veterans. Valiant modern day heroes
Men and women who have broken and killed our foes
They are the seven percent who spends nights out in the snow
Those who sleep late
Or don't sleep at all
Those who are not afraid to risk it all
Those who have seen real pain and real death and destruction
Those who forgot how to function
Those that saw the horrors of war
They are our pride and joy
And because of people like them i am proud to be american
Because of people like them i can rest well
I can walk in the streets and feel swell
So from the bottom of my heart thank you
