Ophelia Ridley never made it to America. After travelling around England for seven years, she unexpectedly returned to Norwood and married Daniel. She stayed just long enough to conceive a child with him before leaving once again. This time, she changed her name to Susan Banks, and did her best to raise her daughter, Laura, who did not know the complexities of her mother's life.

When Laura was 16 years old, her mother died and Laura was sent to live at Norwood, where she found this diary, still in the loose floorboard where it had been placed 23 years prior. The only parts of this diary Laura did not see were the parts about Susan, as Ophelia had torn them out and thrown them into the lake.

After turning of age, Laura set out to accomplish what her mother never could- a higher education and finally seeing America.

The first book in the Ladies of Norwood Series, "Letters from Laura", answers some questions about the life of Ophelia as seen through the eyes of her daughter, Laura.

The third book in the series, "Laura Letting Go", details Laura's transition from British royalty to normal college girl finally seeking the truth about her mother and herself. All questions about Ophelia will be answered! "Laura Letting Go" is COMING SOON.
