Kolli hills also known as Kolli malai which is part of Eastern Ghats, in Namakkal District, Tamilnadu, India. Arappaleeswarar Temple :

The is located on the arterial road that runs through the hills, the road on which buses ply. There is a regular Govt bus service from Namakkal right up to the temple.

The temple for Arappaleeswarar (Lord Shiva) and Aram Valartha Nayagi (Goddess Parvathi) is located in a peaceful and serene location amidst the greenery of the Kolli Hills. The temple, named 'Thiru Araippalli', is a Devara vai puththalam being mentioned in the poetry of Thirugnana Sambandar and Appar. 'Arai' means hill and Pallii' means temple. The eighteen Siddhars of Tamil tradition worshiped at the temple and their idols can be found along the outer wall (mathil) of the temple.

The entrance to the steps leading to the falls is right opposite the temple.

There are several small shops around the temple that sell tea, coffee, snacks, and beverages, along with local produce such as pepper, pineapple, jackfruit, and millet.

Agaya-Gangai-Waterfalls :

Agaya Gangai waterfalls are a nice place to visit during the rainy season for the watery experience. There is a small river that runs right next to the temple which can be reached by climbing down about 50 steps.

Maasila Falls:

Maasila falls is much smaller than "Aagaya Gangai waterfalls" but it is easily accessible, much safer for bathing and an ideal place for family outings. Good place for nature and landscape photography.

In Maasila falls, the hot herbal soup, tasty pineapple and jackfruit etc available at the small eateries run by localities.

Kolli Paavai (Ettukkai Amman) Temple:

Kolli Hills or Kolli Malai in Tamil got its name from the Goddess Ettukai Amman also known as Kolli Paavai, the local deity.

is located on a small mountain and one has to park and walk for a km to reach the temple. Temple is surrounded by beautiful mountains, farms, and forests. Temple has a big lake in front of it. Botanical Garden :

Botanical Garden is located just three kilometers from Semmedu. The botanical garden is a picnic spot that has a park, rose garden, eco-friendly cottages, Herbal Park and a viewpoint. There is also a small children's park in the garden that includes rides like a see-saw, wave slide, statues of animals and merry-go-round.
