The rain pounded against her body as she danced around the flickering flame of the bon fire. Her eyes closed as she ignored the world and everything around her. Twisting and turning the girl moved like a fluid river. Rushing into the next move before the last was even finished. Several yards away a long boat pulls onto the sand and a rumpled looking man with a rather large hat walks to where the girl dances seemingly oblivious to him. Her eyes remain shut as he stands just outside of the fire's light. The girl suddenly stops though she does not turn.

"Captain Barbosa, may I ask what unpleasant tidings bring you to my home? Besides the obvious." She asks as she finally faces him and her eyes flash dangerously in the moonlight. She doesn't even flinch at the skeleton that stands before her.

"You know of the curse?" The captain questions.

"I know of everything. Including the fact that it is not I you wish to speak with. She awaits you." The girl says as she motions to the dark path that leads up the beach and into the forest.

Without saying another word she turns her back and continues on with her dance. The captain watches th dance for some time and then wanders up the beaten path that would lead him to the solution of his problem.

Just before the dawn was breaking Barbosa and his men came back down the path. With her dance done the girl sat beside the smouldering ashes and awaited them.

"Did you find what you sought?" She questions as she leans back on her one hand and looks up at them.

"That's none of your business." Barbosa says gruffly as he stares out at his ship.

"Actually the fire tells me differently." She replies and Barbosa turns on her.

"And what have they spoken to you of?" He questions curtly.

"Just that our paths will cross in the future when you are close to breaking the curse." The girl says with a simple shrug of indifferance.

"Then I look forward to the time. Little Miss.Mouse." Barbosa mocks and the flames suddenly rekindle and shoot ten feet into the air.

"I don't like that name. How many times must I say that?" She asks as daggers shoot from her eyes.

"At least another dozen. For I'll keep calling you it for as long as it gets a rise out of you. Now if you'll excuse me I have some things to see to." Barbosa says as he saunters past her and straight into the sea. Why keep of pretenses where they are not needed? The girl knows what he is.

As soon as the pirates are back aboard their ship the girl stands and brushes the sand off of her body. The dress she wore twisted around her to cover her chest and legs but reveal her mid stomach. It was a fire light red and stopped above her knees. Most certaintly a scandulas dress for one in proper company.

But she was not in proper company and to recieve her visions she must allow the flame to lick at her skin. It is uncomfortable at first but soon after the visions start the pain is easy to ignore.

Walking up the now lighted path she stops among a small shack and slips in the back way.

A women sits before the fire place stirring some sort of stew.

"Good morning mother." The child says as she kisses her cheek and then ties her hair back to keep it out of her way.

"Ask da questions already Minverain." The Jamaican woman says.

"Did you help him?" The child asks and the woman nods.

"What was the deal?" She questions.

"He will get da court to release me from me mortal form. And I explained how to break de curse."
