"Hey! Wake up!" someone shouted in my ear. I groaned and sat back. "What do you want, Sam?" I asked my little sister. Samantha, or Sam, smiled cheekily, revealing her dimples. "It's time for school!" I raised up one eyebrow. I never actually knew why my sister LOVED school so much. School was basically boring for me. In my eyes, I just study and work hard in school. Still, I chuckled at Sam's enthusiastic attitude. We ate breakfast, changed, and went to school. On the ride to school, I tugged at my ripped jeans and admired the scenery outside the window. I wasn't nervous for school at all. I was used to the teasing by the mean girls, and besides, I have one loyal best friend, Olivia. Olivia is the kind of girl whom everybody likes, including me. Yeah, she could sometimes be annoying but I like her anyways. She's really bubbly and friendly.

We finally reached school after a few minutes. I entered the school compound holding a book called Paper Towns by John Green. I absolutely loved his books. Anyway, once I stepped into the building, someone pushed me down, sending my book, backpack and myself crashing on the ground. "Where did you get that T-Shirt? From your little sister?" Jacky and her annoying best friends, Felicia and Hannah smirked. I picked my stuff up and straightened my shirt. I glared at them and shot back, " No. Did you put on too much mascara to even see what I'm wearing?" The trio folded their arms and stared intensely at me. A crowd was forming around us. "You shouldn't have messed with us," Jacky said. After that, the mean girls sashayed their way to the classroom, whispering to each other. Probably gossiping about me. Well, I don't care. "Winter! Hi!" chirped someone. It turned out to be my one and only best friend, Olivia. "Rough start, huh..." She mumbled, noticing my look. "Never mind. Let's just head to class." We both walked to our class, talking happily, like every other morning.
