Fullmetal alchemist: a new danger !! (Edward x Reader)

Chapter 5- illnesses

„ ... it laid on the ground discarded, I thought maybe it belongs to the attacker but I don't know what he ... "
„It isn't his ." you interrupted with nothing more than a mere whisper. He looks up trying to read you face under the hood. „I ..I have read in it but heard I scream so I just left it there." he eyed you up and down, before nodding. „Do you know somebody who can speak and read Latin, cause this text seems rather important." You looked over it before murmuring „I can translate the text if you want ." „Really ?" exclaimed Edward happily. You nodded a soft smile tugging at your lips.
After that you had pulled back a chair for yourself and sat next to him taking a piece of paper. When you had written the first few sentences you were quite confused. Nothing made sense this, this was a war declaration. As you were about to continue you heard a cough and heavy breaths next to you. As you looked at Edward you saw dark circles under his eyes and he looked paler than usual. Carefully you laid down the feather and leaned other to him pressing the back of your hand against his forehead.

And to your surprise he did not push you away if anything he leaned into your touch. After he coughed you had enough. You gathered the young alchemist in your arms putting his red cloak around him.
As you walked down the hallways you noticed voices getting closer. Then you got to the voices which seemed to be Alphonse and the others you explained what had happened they understood and took Edward immediately to the doctor. They just thanked you and told you you could go back to sleep. But you didn't, in the dimming light of a candle you continued translating the letter. And it seemed like a terrible fate will fall open the city.
