The Dark Soul (Stein Fanfiction)

Chapter 12

        We both got up and left the ice cream store. We were walking down the street when I heard a high pitched scream.

        We both started to sprint down the sidewalk towards the scream. "Sakura!" Stein shouted at me.

        I nodded and turned into my weapon form. Klink. Stein ran into an alley and I saw the lady that I had seen earlier lying on the ground in a pool of blood. Then I saw a tall Kishin with spikes standing over the woman.

                              -Steins POV-

        I stared at the kishin and got ready to attack him. He looked over at us then smiled madly at me showing me his long fangs.

        He started running towards us and I leapt into the air dodging him. I landed on the ground behind him and thought of how I should attack him.

        Well since he has spikes all over. That only leaves me with one choice. His head, because it was the only place without spikes.

        I jumped towards him aiming for his head when everything slowed down. All I saw was Sakura pushing me away from the kishin.

        I was confused. Why would she push me away from the kishin. I thought when I saw three huge spikes go through her back and come out her front.

        I hit the ground when I realized that the kishin's spikes could extend. The kishin retracted it's spikes and Sakura fell to  the ground.

        Blood started pooling out of her when the kishin reached down to pick her up. I ran over to her and guarded her bloody body when I heard two gun shots.

        The kishin stumbled backwards and more gun shots went off. The kishin disappeared and a red soul replaced where the kishin had been.

        Then I saw Death The Kid with Liz and Patty. Kid walked over to me and extended his hand to me.

        I took it and he helped me up. I leaned down and checked Sakura's pulse. Strange. I thought.

        Her pulse didn't seem weak at all and all of her blood was gone. I lifted her up and carried her in bridal style. "How is she?" Kid asked from behind me.

        "She seems fine" I answered and turned around towards Kid. "Thank you" I said. "No problem." He replied and started walking away. I watched him walk around the corner and turned around.
