Peridot POV

The house was untouched from the day I saw it. Everything was either smashed, in a mess, or completely cleaned. Everywhere and everything from the basement to the room my dad escaped from was the same exact way it was from a few days ago.

The room that used to be filled with my dads robonoids only had the goo in puddles or on the walls, even screws and bolts were sprawled around the room. But not one machine was left and it was strange. He would never take anything with him that I could detect and hack into. In the corner of the room was a toolbox from the garage. Wonder if he set his anger out on the robonoids.

"Hey, Peri? I don't think there's anything here..." Lapis said, walking sluggishly through the hallway, tired and warned out.

"There must be, at least something. I just...." I thought for a moment. I sighed and got up from my crouched position. We walked out of the hallway and walked towards the kitchen. I looked at all the pictures on the wall. Most them just pictures of me at the beach or in my combat clothing or with family. But one picture didn't jog any memories.

It was a picture of my dad but younger, wearing jeans and a rock T-shirt with a science coat over him. Three other people were standing behind him but I didn't recognize them.

'Who are these people and why don't I know them?'

We stepped into the kitchen and looked around. Of course everything was untouched until I started to rummage through it all. I picked up some documents and random paper from a draw and looked through.

My heart stopped and my breathing was cought in my throught. I held in my hand a picture of three bloody bodies sitting up in front of machines and science equipment. But the faces looked similar. But something clicked in my head and the three picture in that photo started to come through like puzzle pieces.

'He did this...'

Unknown POV

"NO, NO, NO DAMNIT!!" I screamed, throwing the robonoids against the walls of the abandoned hotel. "You needed to stay at the house and watch Peridot!" I yelled at the little walking globes silently watching my tantrum. I stomped on one, letting it shatter and break and spit out goop onto the floor and walls.

"You! Tell me why didn't the brain washing device work on her!" I booked at the closest robonoids. "There was an error in the system my master." Robonoids 107 responded in its monotone voice.

"Argh!" I kicked the damned machine and let it impact the wall, watching it shatter to pieces and the goop flow down the wall.

I went to the desk and leaned over it to let myself cool down. I then glanced at the bag that I brought. "Damnit!!" I swatted the bag off the desk with pure frustration and anger.

Thud!

I looked at the items on the floor that were once I n the bag and saw a yellow envelope. I went over and picked it up.

'To ------- Greene'  It had read but the first name was smudged up, but I knew who it was for. I flipped it over to look to see who it was from but didn't find it.

I ripped it open and took out a a folded paper. I flipped it open and and looked at it. It's a picture of when I was younger, standing in front of my older cousins. Leo Greene, who was two years older then me, was on the right side of me. Grason Greene, who was only a few months older then me, was on my left. And Elly Greene, who was four years older then me behind me with her hands on my shoulder.

I turned the photo around and saw a taped paper on the back of it. I took it off and read the letter.

' Here is a picture of us standing outside of the newly built laboratory! We miss you, me Grason, and Elly. We do hope to see you again soon.
