Ray POV:
"Well that was odd" I thought to myself. I knew it was a coincidence and Arabella could possibly not have to do anything with the famous killer. Dang, I'm stupid. Anyway I began looking for others when Arabella sent me out of the secret room. I didn't exactly know where to go, but I began looking from the playground of the school. As I walked in the playground I saw Ben swinging on the swings. I quickly jumped behind the corner as I saw him. I peeked around the corner. He was gone. My heart raced on the thought where he could've gone. Then I saw a fifth grader going shakily past me. "Hey" I whispered to her. She looked at me. "W-where are m-m-m-my clas-s m-mates?" she asked me shakily. "I don't know, come here" I said. She nodded but as she began walking she was gone with a flash towards the front of the school. I immediately knew. Ben. I ran to the door Arabella and her friends were hiding behind. I knocked quickly and yelled Arabella's name. As I yelled I heard like a wind behind me. I turned my head a little and saw Ben staring at me. He stretched out his hand. his palm facing me. I closed my eyes knowing he would do something bad. But then out of nowhere, Arabella jumped out and splashed water at Ben. Ben let out a loud creak and I covered my ears due to the loud noise. The next second Ben vanished. I looked at Arabella, who looked mad and heroic at the same time. Her eyes locked with mine. She came storming towards me, her hands in fists. "Can you really not be alone and stay out of trouble for 2 minutes?!" she yelled. Wow. She was mad. Very mad. "You're lucky I saw Ben from the hidden window. Or else you would've been dead" she said more calmly and sad. Then her emotion changed again. "Fucking stay out of trouble you little rat!" she screamed. "O-okay. But thanks for saving me" I stuttered out. "Forget it" she replied walking away. Should I tell her? Dang, I don't know. If she really isn't related to Jeff, I would reveal my biggest secret to her. I have to find out if she's somehow related to Jeff and Liu. I just have to!
Arabella POV:
God that Ray guy is stupid and annoying. He better be grateful I saved his ass. I walked to the hideout door and opened it. "Guys, Ben's gone. You can come out" I told everybody. "B-but what if he's not" Alison stuttered. "He is, don't worry Ally. I splashed him with water and now he's gone" I said trying to calm Alison. Alison sobbed and stood up. All of us got out of the room and went to the front of the school. And there was Ray... again. "Hey look. The weirdo is there" Jonathan said pointing at Ray. "Don't make a huge number from this" I told Jonathan warningly. Ray looked at me. I looked away. "Hey guys, wanna do something today?" Mark offered. "I don't know" Alison said shrugging. "I think I'll go home. I can't get him out of my head still" Alison added. "Its okay, we get it. You go home" Jonathan said. "Well I'd be glad to join" Sierra said happily. "Ooh, me too!" Tony yelled happily as well. "I'll go and take care of Ally" Kevin said. Alison and Kevin walked out the school grounds together. "Okay, Bella you in?" Mark asked. "Meh idk" I shrugged. "Come on, it'll be fun" Jonathan pleaded. "Bella come on, it'll be cool hanging out once in a while" Sierra said. "Don't you guys think it's best if we don't show our faces? Like seriously, we could easily get killed and.." I paused when I saw Ray eavesdropping. "Hey!" I yelled at him. "Are you eavesdropping nerd?" Jonathan asked insultingly. "I-I" Ray stuttered. "Save it" I said. "But don't eavesdrop and go home, school's out for today" I told Ray. Jonathan and Mark laughed at that. I shook my head and turned away from him. From the corner of my eye, I saw Ray's head drop and he walked away. He seemed sad. Did we just bully him? No. We are the ones getting bullied, right? "So Bella, what do you say?" Mark asked as I came out from my thoughts. "Uh, not today. I'm not planning on getting killed tonight" I said. "Are you seriously going to chicken out?" Jonathan asked laughing. "Yes, I am. And shut your goddamn fucking ass mouth before I put a bomb in it in your sleep" I threatened. But my friends take it as a joke, but they understand that I'm pissed off. "Hey, I think I'll stick with Bella and not go out today" Tony finally said after a long 10 seconds. "Yeah, seems like a good idea" Sierra agreed. "Really guys?" Jonathan asked annoyed. "Yeah, sorry bro, but that was a stupid idea to go out" Mark agreed with us. "Fine then" Jonathan said disappointed. We all said bye to each other and parted our ways home. I always had to walk alone, because I lived a whole different way from school. Stupid, I know.
*8 hours later*
I received an email, saying that school will be out for the next two weeks, due to the events that had happened the last few days. A part of me was happy, but a part of me was also sad. I will be so bored. Maybe, just maybe, I'll hang out with my squad, but I don't know that yet.
Sierra POV:
I can't believe they cancelled school for two whole weeks! I can't see Bella and our squad then! But I had this weird feeling inside. Its almost like, I felt bad for someone. And not for Alison. Like I felt bad for... Ray. I can't believe I'm saying this, but yeah, I feel bad for him. But idk why. I sighed and went to the living room to watch TV. To my surprise, when I got downstairs, the TV was on. I didn't turn it on and my grandma was at the doctor's. Nobody lived here except us. I walked towards the TV and turned it off. I then walked into the kitchen to get a snack. When I opened the snack cabinet, I heard the TV play again. I turned around quickly, but there was nobody there. My heart was pounding against my chest. I slowly walked to the TV remote, to the same place I left it and turned it off. I placed the remote down on the table and walked towards the staircase. I stopped for a second to listen if the TV was playing. All I heard was silence. I sighed out of relief and began walking upstairs. I took one step. Then another. And then another. And then I froze as I heard the TV playing again. I turned around and walked slowly down the steps. I was shaking. I walked into the living room and looked at the TV. Then someone covered my eyes with their hands. I struggled out and turned around. No. It can't. I instantly walked back when I saw him. Those round yellow goggles, that mouth cloth and that brown hair. I began breathing more heavily. Toby. I suddenly ran past him with a circle as he ran after me. I rushed up the stairs and he was tightly behind me. I ran into the bathroom and locked the door right when Toby was about to catch me. Toby banged on the door, trying to get in. I was shaking and backed in a corner as I pulled out my phone from my back pocket. But right as when I was about to call Bella, my grandma came home. Toby stopped the banging and I heard him run off at the opening of the front door. "Sierra sweetie, I'm back" my grandma said. I was so happy. I banged open the bathroom door and ran down the stairs into her arms. I cried into her yellow dress. "Oh Darling, what happened? Why are you crying?" my grandma asked me. I couldn't talk. I just cried. I cried a lot. My grandma walked into the living room, dropping her bag and sitting me down. She made me tea and got me a blanket. She calmed me down as I leaned on her shoulder. My eyes were so heavy from crying that I eventually fell asleep. My grandma laid me down on the couch and fixed the blanket on top of me. She still saw my hands shaking, when she fixed my blanket.
