Hi there I'm Choi Y/n, I'm 20 years old and on the hunt for my own place but currently still at home with my parents because I am not yet financially ready for my own home but things took a good turn for me and this is my story.
One month ago
I was in the break room when I found myself getting lost in thought thinking about if my life would get any better than working at a cafe. Don't get me wrong, I quite enjoyed my job, my co-workers and manager are really nice people and we mostly get nice customers too. But it does get boring when you've been working there since high school. I wanted to try something new but it's finding that something new that's the most hard part.
Manager Kim: Y/n that's your shift done now you are free to go home.
Y/n: ah thank you manager Kim
I grab my coat and my backpack and say my goodbyes as I head out the door and make my way to the bus stop. When I got there I took my phone out of my pocket to see if I had any certain notifications only to be met with Instagram and twitter notifications along with a text message from my mother.

tonight your father is making your favourite!
I smiled to myself as I heard a vehicle stop in front of me and looked up to see my bus, I let the people get off before getting on.
Daniel: good evening Miss. Choi
Y/n: good evening Daniel
I smile sweetly at him as I pay my fair and took a set, I put my headphones in and play my favourite playlist and looked out the window. Once again I get lost in my thoughts of a slightly better life, my life is pretty good except my parents are struggling with their jobs therefore they are struggling to support all of us and my currant job isn't paying me enough to help out or my own place it is hard but I try.
My stop came up so I walked to the front of the bus and waited for it to stop before getting off and waving as it drove off, from the bus stop it's only a 5 minute walk so I was home in no time.
Y/n: mom, dad I'm home! Am I late?
Mom: you are just on time, your father is just putting the food out!
Y/n: ahh great I'm starving!
I hugged my mom and walked into the kitchen just as my dad finished putting the plates on the table. We ate our food and spoke about our days some time passed and we had finished our meals as I was helping putting the dishes away my phone vibrated. I checked to see who could be messaging me at this time for it was 10pm and I squeaked as I saw the long awaited email.

I almost lost my balance I couldn't believe my eyes I began to cry tears of joy as my mother rushed over to me to see what was wrong, I couldn't speak I just showed her my phone and she too gasped. Her eyes filled with tears and she took my phone to my father who was shocked we strongly believe I wouldn't get excepted but I guess we where wrong....
