I rushed down the hall, knowing that if I was late for class once more, I would earn myself a In School Suspension. I was running now, full speed, trying to get through the crowds of people. I heard an all to familiar sound as I ran, the bell...~Later~
I stared at the wall as Mrs.FatAss rambled. "I was on my way to class, Mrs. Travis! It's not my fault people got in the way!" I tried to reason, standing. "SIT DOWN YOUNGE MAN!!!" She yelled, her high pitch voice probably damaging my hearing. I sighed, sitting once more.
I sat quietly staring out the window as FatAss explained how a proper young man should act. I rolled my eyes, not feeling the need to listen to her shit. "ARE YOU LISTENING MIST-" She screeched but was cut off by a small nock on the door. Her head whipped to the wooden frame, yelling, " WHAT!?" She yelled again. At this rate, I'm going to lose my hearing. I too soon looked over to the door. My eyes widened as I saw a girl I knew all to well.
Evie Flame...
She's the school nerd. What, did you think she was gonna be one of those smokin' hot chicks you see in movies? Ya, not even close. That title goes to Amy Wild, schools cheer leading captain and sexist being on Earth. Man, I would kill to get her in bed, but here I am, with the two people I hate most...Fuck my life.
~Evie's POV~
I look up from the teachers note to see why the school principal was yelling. I adjusted my round glasses as Mrs. Travis's red face composed from anger to surprise. I forced a smile at the Hag as she immediately smiled when she saw it was me.
"Why, hello dear! Eh, um, why don't you have a seat next to this young man!" She said, worry laced in her crocky voice.
What, is she scared I'm going to go tell someone she was yelling at a kid for missing class, potentially beating him to death like she did with some other kid who's name I can quite point. Oh well, doesn't really matter.
I slowly made my way to a chair next to a raven haired boy who looked as pissed as ever. His body was adorned with a black jacket and old blue jeans, as I sat down in the comfy chair, I noticed the sign on his hoody. 'The Red Mocking Jays' was inscribed in bold bloody writing as if the words themselves were coming to a gory end. 'Stella likes that band' I thought just before looking up.
The boy seemed to notice and shot a glare my way quickly crossing his arms over his chest. I looked into his dull eyes, but quickly looked away when I got the memo. He obviously hated my gut, and I didn't even know him. Damn this stupid act.
"Now,Evie..this is-" Mrs. Travis began but was soon cut off when the ground under us started to shake.
The Lady had a horrified expression when the floor under her started to collapse. Oh, no. I guess she couldn't make it through since she was an adult? That's when I realized the boy was still next to me. When I saw his expression from hearing the ear curtailing scream from the Hag get cut off, I knew there was going to be a LOT of explaining to do...
"Shit..."
