New World (Minecraft/Warriors)

Prologue

I drew back my bow, eyes locked on the approaching zombie. I let the arrow fly and watched it go into the zombie's chest, killing it.

The dungeon I was in was giant. I'd been in it for weeks, lost and exhausted. My pickaxe broke a few days before, so I couldn't mine into walls to hide and rest anymore.

I was here to find the End and kill the legendary Ender Dragon that was supposedly there. According to legend, whomever killed the dragon would be Minecraftia's greatest hero. That was my goal.

Leaning against a wall, I took out a piece of bread and started eating it. I barely had any food left, and soon I'd be stuck with rotten flesh.

"Notch, please help me," I whispered. "Either show me the way out of this place, or bring me to the End."

I saw a light out of the corner of my eye. Had Notch answered my prayers? I ran towards the light, taking my bow out and ready to attack if needed.

There it was. The End Portal, its shiny frame covered in Eye of Enders. I took out my own Eye of Ender, and carefully placed it in the last open spot.

A blinding light caused me to fall back. I turned away and covered my eyes. The white light turned light purple, and I looked at it.

"I've activated the End Portal...I can beat the dragon!" I whispered in shock. "Notch, thank you!"

I took out my bow, slung some arrows in their container strapped to my back, and made sure my diamond sword was in the right spot too in case I needed to fight the Endermen.

"Here I go," I told myself. "Time to become Minecraftia's hero, and defeat the Ender Dragon." And with that, I jumped into the portal.

Worst mistake I could've ever made.
