"hyung, i'm scared."

"jaewon! wait up!"
chilhyun called out, the pouring
rain soaking through his clothes as
he dashed after jaewon, avoiding the
passing cars as best as he could,
"jaewon please! don't go!"
he yelled and yelled the name
repeatedly, but each time the sound
of the heavy rain drowned out the
echoing of his voice.

"j...jaewon-ah..."
chilhyun eventually came to a stop,
exhausted after running for so long,
and cold from his dampened clothes.
he panted heavily trying to catch his breath, but suddenly his legs gave way and chilhyun fell to the solid
floor, ripping the material on his knees and elbows as he did so.
"ouch, shit..."

"need a hand?"
he looked up to the familiar
voice, only to be greeted by woohyuk
smiling sweetly, holding out his hand for him to take.
"ha, thanks," chilhyun laughed bitterly, as woohyuk pulled him up and brushed himself off,
"how'd you find me?"

woohyuk laughed a little,
"there's not exactly many people
who run around screaming 'lee jaewon' at 3am," woohyuk winked at
him playfully.

"i guess, that's true," chilhyun sighed,
slightly embarrassed at the fact, but
also annoyed that he'd give up
running after jaewon so easily.

woohyuk noticed chilhyun's expression, "ah, why were you chasing jaewon anyway..?"

chilhyun sighed again, before glancing over at the bridge in front of him.
"you can drive right?" he suddenly asked, flustering woohyuk.

"y-yes, but not legally..."

"give me a ride."

woohyuk froze, unsure of what to do. chilhyun looked so desperate, but at the same time he'd be breaking the law if he did so, "chilhyun-ah, i'm sorry but —"

"okay. i didn't expect you to anyway," chilhyun huffed, ruffling his own hair before starting to walk off.

"oi, ahn chilhyun!" woohyuk called out, surprised and taken aback by him, "where are you going..!"

"to find jaewon!"

"chilhyun-ah! ahn chilhyun!"
woohyuk called him again, but chilhyun simply continued walking straight, not even glancing back once,
"aish, there's really no arguing with him once he sets his mind to something," woohyuk sighed deeply, before turning round and heading back home himself.

"jaewon-ah!"
chilhyun bellowed, his voice echoing
through the bridge, cars honking at him to watch where he's going,
"JAEWON-AH!" he tried calling louder, but as expected, no response.
he continued to trudge along, his
hope for finding jaewon lessening the
further he walked, but he refused
to give up.

"i should never have said anything..."

chilhyun thought to himself, regretting his words from earlier.
the more he thought about it, the
less focused he became, and only when he looked up from the graveled floor, did he notice jaewon sitting on the edge of the bridge.

"jaewon-ah!"
chilhyun hollered at the top of his lungs, as he began to dash over to a very startled lee jaewon,
"the hell were you thinking..?! that's dangerous!" chilhyun yelled as he pulled jaewon down from the bridge's edge, and hugged him as tightly as he could.

"h-hyung..."
jaewon sniffled, tears starting to
fill his eyes at his hyung's sudden warm embrace, suddenly beginning to feel bad for running away in the first place, "i'm so s-sorry..."
he began to sob his heart out, and rested his head on chilhyun's shoulder lightly.

"it's okay," chilhyun responded, trying to hold back his own tears, "i'm sorry too, i shouldn't have said anything before," he hesitated and cleared his throat, "all that matters now, is that you're safe, okay?"

jaewon sat up and nodded, before
bursting into tears and hugging chilhyun again, not wanting to ever let go.

"ayy, come on now," chilhyun laughed a little, trying to lighten the mood, "you're too big to be crying so much, both literally and metaphorically."

jaewon stood up straight and wiped his eyes, a small smile on his face,
"let's, go home hyung."

chilhyun simply smiled in response, relieved that everything had turned out okay, despite the long route to it,
"mm, let's."
