Chapter 5: Phone Call

Grayson's POV

Sitting up from my bed, my memories faded once again and now all I could think about was the fact that there was a boy shaking outside. I quickly jumped up and waddled my way over to the door, opening it. "I told you to come inside. You're gonna get sick." I said impatiently. He shook his head shaking. "It's raining out, Come inside now." I said aggressively. He shook his head no again shivering more. I groaned and walked over to him. "D-Don't touch me, I'll b-be fine." He said shakily. I ignored him and picked his freezing cold body up bridal style. "You're freezing, we need to get you warm again." I said bluntly. He panicked and attempted to get away, but to no avail.

He started kicking and crying. "Put me down! Please!" He cried out. "Please calm down. I'm never going to hurt you, I want you to know that." I paused. "I would let you go but I did something really bad in my past and I can't let you out of my site now that you were seen with me. He might get you as well and I can't kill another person, especially not on purpose." 

I sighed and stopped walking. "I'm just going to set you onto the bed, and get the tub filled with warm water, okay?" I said softly setting him on the bed. His eyes were filled with fear and salty tears, and his nose and fingertips were as cold as ice. 

I went to get the tub ready as he sat shivering on the bed. Turning the bathtub on, I heard someone's phone start ringing. I stepped out of the bathroom to see Anthony crying into the phone. 

Dylan's POV

I came home to no Anthony. "Where the frick is he!?" I groaned to myself as I wandered the house for him. "That bastard better not have left for good." I dialed his number, impatiently waiting for him to pick up. Right as he picked up I shouted. "WHERE ARE YOU!?" He started whimpering as I yelled. "I-I don't know..." He cried out softly. "GET OVER HERE NOW!" I yelled aggressively. "YOU BETTER-" I was cut off by an unfamiliar voice. "Excuse me? Who may this be?" The man's voice was calm. "What? WHO IS THIS!? ANTHONY!!!" I shouted as my blood boiled inside me. 

"I'm simply taking care of your friend here. He won't be 'home' anymore Dylan." He told me calmly. "WHAT!? ANTHONY'S MY BOYFRIEND!!" I screamed. "Well, not anymore I guess now huh?" He said before he hung up. "THAT LITTLE SHIT!" 

Grayson's POV

So that's what he's scared to go home to. Well, he doesn't need to worry anymore. He doesn't need to go back there anymore. He's with me, and I'll give him everything I've got to protect him.
