[ NOTE: Sorry for the really late update. I've been struggling with life, I wrote this because at the time I loved writing and making up my own world but I lost that, and then found it again. I really hope you enjoy reading what I make up in my head.
This chapter takes place during the Black Continent Arc. Note: This is not going to follow canon, it's a whole new plot line because I don't think I can stick to the original without butchering it ]
Edit: Added a picture of them reading together and Chrollo doing questionable things to Kurapika's neck.
AUTHORS MUSINGS: (Kurapika made a vow to not use his chains on anyone who isn't a spider or Judgement Chain will kill him, but when Chrollo steals away his Nen ability, what happens to his Vow of Covenant? Would it disappear along with all of his abilities? Would it be passed on to Chrollo? And since he is a spider too now would it kill him to use it on himself? Would it kill Chrollo to use it on Kurapika? I don't have an answer to this question even after scouring dozens of wiki pages and forums, so from now on expect to see a lot of made up ideas because I have nothing in the manga or anime to go off on. Okay on to the story.)

Kurapika absently flexed his chains as he assessed his situation, feeling it's familiar cold metal on his knuckles made him subtly relax his sitting posture. Chrollo had given him back his Nen in exchange for him take a vow of loyalty to the Spiders
Thou shalt not kill one of thy own legs and thou shall always remain loyal to the head.
What Chrollo said that day as he pierced Kurapika's heart with Judgement Chain kept playing in his head, like a mantra. Kurapika kept thinking of ways around the covenant, any loopholes or technicality that he could exploit to no success.

Having his Nen stolen from him had nullified the existence of his former vow: not to use Chain Jail on anyone who isn't a Spider, and as a result considerably weakening it. Chrollo giving Kurapika back his Nen should then logically also nullify the vow of loyalty too. Except Kurapika could sense it, the delicate, cold Nen dagger hovering dangerously close to his beating heart. It was still there, how? Much about the workings of Nen is mysterious, with some users' Nen still  active, and sometimes even stronger after death. Could their Nen abilities been merged somehow? Kurapika doesn't know for sure, but something undetected had happened to his ability when it was stolen from him, that Kurapika was sure of. Even if Kurapika managed to find a Nen exorcist to remove the Nen dagger from his heart without any of the Spiders finding out, would that count as a betrayal of the vow and automatically kill him? He can't make any reckless, foolhardy moves without more information on Chrollo's abilities or he would risk death. For now, recovery of the Scarlet Eyes from Prince Tserriednich Hui Guo Rou is top priority.

"I booked the tickets, we're leaving this week, are you finished packing?" Chrollo asked nonchalantly, appearing out of thin air behind him. "Done" Kurapika snapped coldly without looking back. Chrollo's eyes lingered on Kurapika's form, "sure, tell me if you need anything", he continued, eyes squinting into an easy going smile, words seeming to roll off his tongue like butter. "I'm always here" he whispered, hands carefully sliding once over Kurapika's slender, white neck, and then silently and lightly caressing and rubbing it in a failed attempt at being reassuring. As if it were some kind of pat on the back between buddies. Kurapika made no move to stop him.
'So pretty and delicate I could just snap it'  Chrollo thought as his empty black eyes flashed with something dangerous, 'I should get him a scarf or something to cover his neck, its not good to leave my treasures out in the open'.   Kurapika shivered, warmth rising to his face and chills running down his spine, as each of Chrollo's five cold fingers slowly left his nape. Chrollo strode to the arm chair next to Kurapika and took a seat, taking out a book and reading it idly. His calm and collected attitude getting on Kurapika's nerves. But Kurapika knew not to go off on him, this was a psychological battle, the first man to crack loses. It took everything in Kurapika to keep his hands down on his lap and not try to hide and rub his neck to regain warmth and chase the feeling of Chrollo away.

They both sat in tense silence. Kurapika staring at the wall and Chrollo "reading" his book on The Great Silence, which he had already finished months prior. Both pretending the others presence does nothing to them. Both pretending they didn't think about the way the other's skin felt.

  AUTHOR'S SIDE NOTES:
I literally finished writing this at 2 AM.
"The Great Silence" or Fermi Paradox is, if you didn't already know, the contradiction between high possibilities of extraterrestrial life and the apparent lack of evidence for them. I think its very interesting, and also lonely to think that even though the universe is literally endless with so much possibility of life, we still haven't found anyone.7,800,000,000 people on Earth, but we are alone in the universe.                                                      Did anyone notice how Chrollo calls Kurapika his treasure? I came up with that and multiple other sweet nicknames that Chrollo would definitely call Kurapika with like angel, sweetheart, pretty, and doll. And those are not counting the kinky ones, yet. To me, Chrollo seems like he could be a really romantic, candle lit dinner, and forehead kisses typa guy if only he didn't have issues and childhood trauma. I thought this quote from the Bible really described how Chrollo feels about Kurapika:                                                                                                                                                    "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" -Matthew 6:21     Just in case you didn't notice lmao, our Dancho is very much head over heels in love, I really don't want to write and write another rape fic, its not fun to write or read. I want to write a love story. I want sexual tension (speaking of sexual activities I wonder if Wattpad allows you to write porn.. I don't want my work deleted because this is definitely going to have kinky porn, I didn't read up about BDSM for nothing). I want character development and plot. Yeah setting high standards like this for myself is probably why I procrastinate so much writing, speaking of which, for this chapter alone I had in my drafts for months, editing over and over again and referencing wiki articles and the manga. Its probably laughable to others how much effort I put into writing a fanfic lmao, but I enjoy it, I feel my soul coming alive, I get excited. I hope you all feel the same.

*Next chapter will be up hopefully soon, I still need to reread the Succession Arc so I can be sure I'm writing this well, I want to pump out as much work as I can so I can make up for lost time and slack off, next chapter is probably going to be on the ship and Queen Oito is going to be introduced, I also failed a lot of my math so I won't have much time from going to extra classes, fuck trigonometry*
