"Just hold on to the coffee maker and smile husband" I walked a little ahead of him since I knew he had his terrible mug on his face. "Shine I'm glad you'd make it...How you liking the views so far" He smiled opening his arms wide.
"I think this is big and beyond your means since you have no kids. I hope this is a sign your growing up on me" Dave grunted begins me. "This would be the first time officially on good terms. Dave this is Shane and Shane this is David be nice you two" I looked at David and he let out a long sigh before sticking out his hand.
"Nice to meet you bro I've heard nothing but good things. Us guys are in the pool room making massive bets and Shine I need to introduce you to Lena like yesterday" I gave David a peck on the cheek and I followed Shane upstairs. "She's been getting ready since like two so I'm sure you two will have a ton to speak about" He knocked on the door.
"WHAT IM BUSY" He kissed his teeth and banged on the door this time. The door semi opened and she stuck her head out with an irritated look "I swear I can never get no peace and quiet from you Shane."

"You always talking bout some bullshit calm down, This Shine I've been talking about" She looked at me and her face lit up. "Finally a girl I'm tired of men" She dragged me inside and closed the door. "I'm all good for my boo on landing this spot but sometimes he do to much. I'm pretty sure you know and you've got to tell me your secrets" I sat on a little white bench while she was at her vanity.
"He's not all bad even through our mishaps plus I've seen him grown up over these years." She looked at me trodding slowly. "He's told me a lot but never how you two became such close friends. What he and ole homegirls girl was straight bullshit honestly so you have some balls" Lena was a real character but who's telling hows she really is around Shane when it's them two.
"After my second baby he reached out and we had a real deep conversation about everything. We both did some childish things so it easy to say fuck it" She nodded not saying another word. "Well it's good to know your married and have kids...shows your happy and settled in a way" I don't know what Shane saw in this girl but let me not judge so quickly after this conversation. "Well do you think you two will get married one day, It seems like it since you two moved in here."
"Maybe I don't know sometimes I just feel like I'm not his level. Like I'm too ghetto and he's embarrassed as to why I'm up in this room." It was Finally like she was letting her guard down and being real. "That could be a real conversation piece Lena if y'all really want it to work out. Trust me lost communication could be a real killer to a relationship no matter the love or strength" She smiled at me. "Thanks your real cool Shine I'm glad your in Shane's life. Can you tell him I'll be downstairs in just a sec I'm ready" I went downstairs and bypassed David clearly double fisting drinks.
"Finally I've been waiting for you to come back downstairs. How you feel about her like your opinion really matters" I turned around to make sure she wasn't coming and got faced with Dave's deadly stare that I just ignored and moved to another room. "She's definitely an interesting character but I can tell she's a little insecure about you two relationship. You two need to talk and talk it out so you can move forward and get married." He froze.
"Married...You too romantic ain't no marriage over here. I don't even know if I still wanna be with her she just be doing too much. You saw the way she answered that damn door" I know I ain't give all this advice just for him to breakup. "Nope no I ain't waste my breath so how about instead we all go out to dinner" He looked off. "I don't know Shine plus I'm sure your dude don't even like me" That was very true but it'd make me so happy to say I made his relationship work.
"Your going so make sure to tell her stupid and dress nice. I feel it in my heart that this will work" I opened the door to the study to leave and David with bloodshot eyes stood there looking at me and Shane. "I'll let you two argue then" Shane slide out and closed back the door.
"I ain't come here to this party so you could run around and be alone with your ex. What the fuck you doing Shine like you ain't go no damn sense" His finger was all up in my face. "Don't do this to yourself David it was a damn conversation about his relationship. If you think we'd do something then you don't trust me or our marriage" I tried to walk away but he grabbed my wrist.
"Fuck that I'm asking you Shine since you always think all our problems are me. You think this shit cool what if I did the same shit to you huh" I took a long deep breath and closed my lips. "Bye David I'm leaving" I called an Uber back to the hotel. I changed and texted Melli I missed my babies so she sent me a picture of them sleeping.
Don't get me wrong I see where David is coming from and I'll right my wrongs. Talking down on me and putting your fingers in my face as if he's a bitch I just can't. Closure is coming to an understanding and me seeing Shane happy with someone is what I wanted. Ariel I just wanted to beat the brakes off her anytime I see her so it was best if we're ten feet.
