--------------------------------------
It was an early tuesday morning, I woke up to the sound of my alarm. Annoyed I looked over to check the time it was 7:00 a.m. Well I guess I forgot to turn off the alarm again before I went to bed. I layed back down for a couple minutes contemplaiting if I should actually get out of bed and start my day. After a few more minutes of complaining I got out of bed and went over to my closet picking out a plain gray t-shirt and a pair of skinny jeans with my favorite fuck off sneakers.

After I was done getting dressed I went down to the kitchen to see if I had any granola bars left. luckly I had one left, so I threw the box away and started eating the granola bar I had in my hand. As I finished off the last piece I walked over to the window and looked outside.

'It doesn't look to bad out today' I thought to myself. 'maybe i'll take a walk around the neighborhood and see if I can find anything interesting'.

As I was putting my shoes on I turned the TV on to see what the high was going to be for the day.

"Today it's supposed to be around 23 degrees in the morning and as it hits around noon the temperature is supposed to reach to 46-" The news broadcaster said over the TV before I turned it off.

'Alrighty then let's go on an adventure' I thought to myself while going over to pick up my house keys, phone, and ear buds. On the way out I made sure to lock the door so I wouldn't find anybody in my home when I get back from my walk.

~~1 hour later~~
This was my second time walking around the neighborhood and still haven't found anything that peeked my interest. So instead of taking the normal route I decided to take a new path that lead me somewhere I wasn't familiar with.

As I was looking around I saw dead trees with greenish gray moss that was growing off of it. Some had certain types of parasites growing off of them that if you touch them you could end up getting very sick or even start melting from the inside out. The grass was also a pale tanish gray color which I don't think to be very normal. The ground itself felt like there was air underneath it, that if you stood in one place for even a couple seconds it looked like as if it was actually breathing and it felt like you were going to sink in at any moment. Hell even the sky looked as if it was a different color then what it was before I started walking this way.

A few minutes later after looking at the scenery around me I came across a small grave yard. There had to be about 12 graves but only 5 of them had names on them. I brushed off the ones that had the names on them and to my surprise it's the names of the Oakland family that went missing over four year ago. But there were only the names of the mother Alison, and three children, Becky, Andrew, and Case.

'So that means that the Father still has to be around here somewhere, but why didn't he report that his family went missing? Are even better yet where is he hiding? and if he did kill his own family why didn't he turn himself in?' All of these questions where running through my head when I heard a twig snap behind me. I jumped and turned around so fast that I felt like I was going to pass out from the lack of oxygen in my head.

As I caught my footing and clamed my breathing so I can see clearly again. I looked around to see where the noise had come from to only realise that it was the wind that snapped the thin branch that was hanging from the tree above.

~~The Next Day~~
After I went home yesterday from the walk I couldn't stop thinking about
'How did the Oakland family die? where is the father? Am I sure it was just the wind or was someone watching me the entire time I was there?'

So insteading of pondering over those questions I went back to the same spot to where I found the graves. But instead of finding the graves, there was a huge mansion that looks like it hasn't been lived in for years. The outside looks like mossy cobble stone with ivy growing up the sides and blocking the entry to the mansion. The doors also look like they had been boarded up like someone didn't want anybody to find out what's hidden beneath those closed doors.

As I was walking around the outside of the mansion I noticed that some of the windows were shattered, so I decided to climb through and take a look around. Even though I know that, that probably wasn't the best idea but hey as the saying goes curiosity killed the cat.

After I got through the window without scraping myself off of the sharp pieces of glass that are still standing. I stood towards the middle of a room which seemed to be a ball room and holy hell is it huge.

'How does somebody live in this place without getting lost?' I thought as I started walking up the mansions coral stairs.

Something that caught me off gaurd while walking around was how was this mansion still clean where as there is no spec of dust to be seen? That's when I should have turned around and left but at that moment I wasn't thinking of the dangers ahead of me because I was to fascinated with what I was seeing.

~~30 minutes later~~
I walked through almost 2/4 of the house, when I came across a room that caught my eye. It was what looked like to be a room for a little girl. The floor had a light purple rug with flowers on it. The walls where of the same color but maybe a shade darker with little drawings that were not washed off, or faded yet by the lack of use. Near the middle of the room was a small twin sized bed with light pink sheets that had floral design on them. Along with a cute little teddy bear sitting up towards the pillow. Next to the bed there was a light brown dresser with a picture of a little girl and what seemed to be a dog. But it was scratched out so I couldn't make out what it was supposed to be.

While looking around the room I also noticed that the closet door had opened a little. Sure it might've freaked me out a little but as I walked over to get a closer look. I felt a gush of cold air hit me and I fell to the floor gasping for air. When I looked up I saw a ghost of what seemed to be the little girl that I had seen in the picture just a few moments ago.

As I was about to ask her some questions about what had happened to her and her family? and what her name was? I heard stomping coming from the floor below. As I looked over at the door I heard a voice say

"Get out of here, RUN! unless you want to be stuck here as well!"......."RUN!".

But before I was able to get up and run out of that mansion like my life depended on it. I looked towards the doorway of the small room that I was fascinated in just a few moments ago. To have the look of pure horror come across my face as I saw the last person I wanted to see holding an axe in his hand saying

"YoUr NExT" with a grin plastered across his face.

~~2 months later~~
