Chapter 18

Ethan's POV
I wake up and it's 3:45am. Well damn. I look over and see Amber still asleep. Somethings different about her, she doesn't look sad. She looks peaceful. I can't believe we kissed. I mean yea I always thought about it but I didn't think it would ever happen. I just hope she doesn't freak out. I know she cares for Gray and Hayes. Gray I can understand but Hayes. He's borderline bullying her.

He's becoming the old me and I can't let Amber go through that again. It makes me sick even thinking about it. She's becoming happy. She got away from her parents, me and Gray have changed, she has a group of friends who love her. Things are getting better for her. Well, not counting Hayes and the throwing up. I can make her happy. I know I can. And I definitely know she can make me happy. I can put all her broken pieces back together. If only she'll let me.

Grayson's POV
I've been up all night tossing and turning. I just can't shake what Nash said. She cant go near him. I can't even think about him hitting her. It makes my blood boil. I love her, I really do. I can't bare seeing her hurt. Im going to make sure he knows what will happen if he hurts her.

I look at the clock and it's 7:00. Maybe I should get up and make everyone breakfast. I get up and get dressed. I go downstairs and start to make oatmeal. Once I get done cooking it's 8:00, time to wake them up. I walk upstairs and go into Ethan's room and see her squirming some.

"Amber wake up princess" I say shaking her lightly.
"Come on Amber, I've made breakfast."
"Good morning Gray." She smiles
"Morning sunshine. Come on breakfast is ready." I say. She stands up but looses balance.
"Woah careful." I say
"I must have gotten up to fast and I got dizzy." She smiles.
"Ethan get up foods ready." I yell.
"Alright I'm up. Could you be any nicer though?" He says. I roll my eyes and walk downstairs with Amber. We sit down and start to eat. I hear Ethan walking downstairs. He walks over to Amber and puts his arms around her and lays his head in her shoulder. He then kisses her cheek. And whispers something.

Alright fine then, if he wants to play dirty then I'll play dirty. Two can play this game brother.
"So Amber I was thinking, maybe me and you could hang out today." I say
"Yea that sounds fun Gray" She smiles. I see Ethan get tense so I turn and wink at him.
"And what am I supposed to do all day Gray?" He asks
"Skate around or something. Watch movies in your room I don't know." I scoff.
"Why can I not hang with you two" he smirks. He's going to guilt Amber I know it.
"Well because you have been stealing her all the time so it's my turn with her."
"I'm not 'stealing' her, she likes to hang with me. Isn't that right Amber?" He winks
"Well yea..." She says looking down.
"Look I want to spend today with amber and Amber only. If you don't like that then tough Ethan." I roll my eyes.
"You done with your food Amber?" He asks.
"Oh, uhh yea." She says
"Alrighty, lets go on in my room Amber." I smile and pick her up.
"Gray put me down" She laughs.

Ambers POV
I don't like what happened downstairs. I don't like it when people fight. But ya in the past. We get to Grays room and he throws me on the bed. I start laughing again.

"Gray I'm not some doll you can just throw around" I laugh.
"Sorry it's just so fun" he smiles but then stops.
"I'm sorry Amber that sounded wrong."
"No it's okay Gray. You were joking I knew what you meant." I smile
"Does it bother you?" I ask
"Does what bother me?"
"Always bringing reminded of your past."
"Sometimes. It's sometimes gets so strong that I can't breathe or move, it's like I'm frozen. Like I'm stuck in the memories going through it again." She says. Damn.
"Is there anything I can do to help?"
"No, it's more of a me thing." She smiles

We talk for a few more hours before I hear a knock on my door.
"Yea?" I say and Ethan walks in.
"I just wanted to check on her and see how you're doing." He says.
"She's fine we are both fine" I say
"Gray he can stay for a minute" She laughs
"A minute turns into an hour Amber" i say.
"Gray you act like I'm not living here."
"Amber, it's my turn with you. Ethan had you last night."
"You two can sort this out while I use the bathroom." She says and walks out.
"Go away Ethan."
"Gray calm down. She's not some toy. She's a human, treat her like one." I snaps
"Ethan I barely get any time with her. You are always with her."
"Well I'm sorry but if she didn't want to spend time with me so much then she would say no but I don't see her saying no so I'm not going to not hang with her Gray."
"Whatever. We can just watch a movie then. But she is sleeping with me."
"But Gray she sleeps with m-"
"She's sleeping with me" I say sternly
"Fine" he says rolling his eyes.
