"Y/N!" said B/F/N, your best friend screaming and running up at you as you were eating lunch while being on your phone. You jumped by her voice.

"Oh my gosh, what? You scared me." you said while catching your breath. B/F/N sits down right next to you with their lunch.

"Have you heard?" said B/F/N excitingly.

"Heard what?" you said confused.

"About homecoming! It's in two weeks! We need to go shopping after school!" said B/F/N excitedly.

"Wait what? In two weeks?! I swear they don't tell us anything at this school." you said and you rolled your eyes and then ate some of your fruit you got with your lunch.

"Yeah! This is why we exactly have to go shopping after school!" said B/F/N.

"B/F/N, we got F/S practice after school today." you said and your best friend lost their excitement.

"Aw man. We can't skip today?" said B/F/N with an upset face.

"No. The homecoming game is next Friday." you said and B/F/N cross their arms with a pout face.

"Great. You just ruined my excitement." said B/F/N and you shook your head while starting to eat your sandwich.

"Ruby, just stop."

You looked up and saw Cesar laughing with his friends while eating lunch at a table not that far from yours. You rolled your eyes and started to drink your water.

"You're just going to ignore the fact that he's right there." said B/F/N and you spit your water out and start to cough. You turn back and look at B/F/N after getting your breath back again.

"What? What do you mean? What fact are you talking about?" you said innocently hoping not to get caught.

"Girl, you know what I'm talking about. Don't play me." said B/F/N and she took a bite of her pineapple cut in little pieces with her fork.

You shake your head and then you look at Cesar talking to his friends.

"You think he's going to homecoming?" asked B/F/N and they took another bite of a pineapple chunk and you turned and looked at them crazy.

"No." you said and laughed at the fact that your best friend thinks that Cesar is going to homecoming.

"He might." said B/F/N and her jaw dropped a bit after turning her head to see Cesar and Monse getting close to each other.

You look at what B/F/N was looking at. You felt a little pain to your heart making B/F/N look at you concerned.

"You okay?" asked B/F/N slowly and you turned back to them and nodded.

"I'm fine. I'm...completely over him." you said and glance at Cesar and Monse. B/F/N took a glance of Cesar and looked back at you still concerned.

"I'm telling the truth. I'm fine. He has his own life and I got mine. We are not meant to be together. He's just another boy." you said while getting up from the table with your lunch.

"Let's go to science ." you said and B/F/N follow you with their lunch, throw the lunches away and start walking to class.

While you and B/F/N were walking to class, you didn't know that Cesar was staring at you with your signature H/C hairstyle.
