8- The Agreement

Arabella POV:

I walked up to my gang. "Hey Bella!" Jonathan said raising his hand. "Hey" I said. "So what did you want to talk about?" Sierra asked. "Well, yesterday I got into a fight with Ray" I began when Jonathan interrupted. "That stupid nerd?" he said laughing. "You shouldn't waste your energy on him Bella" Mark said. "Shut up you guys!" I yelled. Everybody shut up. "As I was saying" I continued "me and Ray got into a fight yesterday. I showed him a picture of Slenderman, who was behind John and he freaked out". "Wait you mean your little cousin John?" Alison asked. "Yes him. Anyway Ray was so shocked that he asked to go to the restroom about 15 minutes into class. And the teacher let him. I then excused myself out too with my period, which I'm not on btw". "Couldn't come up with a better excuse?" Jonathan asked. "No, would've you?" I asked him annoyed. "Go on" Jonathan said. "So I followed Ray and caught up to him. I began asking if he was connected to Slenderman, but he kept saying that he was only scared of him. He said I didn't know him, which he was correct and he told me that he sees me as a bully... well all of us actually". 

"What?!" Jonathan burst out. "We? Bullies? Who the fuck does that guy think he is?!" he yelled. "Calm down for fuck's sake!" I yelled at Jonathan. "I know, I was shocked too, but then I realized that we had indeed been bullies to him. I mean Jon, you called him a nerd and I insulted him, when he only wanted to be our friend" I said sighing. "I don't think we were bullying him" Tony said. "Yeah, we were just trying to stay away" Alison added. "But isn't it a bit weird that he is afraid of Slenderman? I mean he's our age and he's still scared" I said trying to make them think. "So? We are afraid of creepypastas too" Kevin said. "Exactly, don't you see?" I tried getting them to think about the connections. "No" Jon said. "Ugh, guys maybe he is one of us!" I finally said. Everyone swapped looks. Then they all began laughing. "Seriously Bella? Him and one of us? Come on!" Jonathan laughed giving me a slight push on my shoulder. "Yeah, like he ever would be that" Kevin added. "Guys, I'm serious. We should talk to him" I said. "No way. He is a nerd and nerds get bullied" Jonathan said. "So am I a nerd? BECAUSE I GET BULLIED!" I yelled at everyone. Silence followed after that. "Wait, really? Who dares to even bully you?" Mark finally said. "Take one guess" I said. "Daniel" they said all at once. "Yeah, so we have to go and talk to him. Seriously, I'm not joking" I said very seriously. 

About 6 seconds passed in silence when finally Sierra stepped out. "Guys, Bella's right. We have to talk to him. Think about it. We all are scared of a certain creepypasta and he is scared of Slenderman. I mean he dared to follow Jeff!" Sierra spoke out. "Don't use that name in my presence please" I told Sierra. "Oh right, sorry. But do you see what I mean?" Sierra spoke like an actress in a drama movie. "But what if he's not?" Tony asked. "Then we'll consider him as a friend and not hurt him" Sierra said looking at Jonathan. "Why are you looking at me?" he asked in a moody tone. "Because you're the one who picks on him the most!" Sierra yelled. "Fine fine, geez" Jonathan said, clearly not liking the idea. "So, what do we say? Let's talk to him and if he's one of us then invite him to join the Survivors?" I asked everyone. "Whoa whoa, slow down there" Mark said. "How do we even know he's trustworthy?" he asked. "We'll have to test him" Alison said. "How?" Jonathan asked moodily. "Stop with the attitude Jon, we're trying to think about it here" Sierra yelled annoyed.

Jonathan POV:

I really don't like that Ray guy. And Bella says he might be one of us? Oh please. Like that would ever happen. He is so weird and tall and annoying and dumb. I really don't want him in our group. But I'll be sure to beat that fucking dumbass Daniel up for bullying Bella behind my back. I actually have a secret crush on Bella, but I can't tell her. But do you know who else has a crush on her? Fucking Mark and Tony! We came to an agreement that whoever Bella holds hands first with, will get he to themselves. And no, we're not yanderes. Just a friendly competition...

Arabella POV:

"Okay, we'll think about the tests later, but now let's go and talk to Ray" I said cutting off everybody's thoughts. "Sounds good!" Sierra said happily. "Count me in" Alison said. "I'll come" Tony said. "I'm going if Alison is" Kevin said. Alison just giggled at that. "I guess I'm in too" Mark said. Everybody was now looking at Jonathan. "Fine, I'll come" he said rolling his eyes. "Great and no insults!" I warned him. We all swapped looks and headed out to find Ray.

Ray POV:

I think Arabella hates me now. I mean I tried talking to her, but she ran off. Man, it's hard living life with a dark side to it. I kind of like Arabella, like I may have a tiny crush on her, but I'm not sure. She probably hates me now. I heard the bell for class ring. I set my steps towards Drama class when I suddenly heard a familiar voice. "Hey Ray! Wait up!". I turned around and saw Arabella with her gang again. I sighed knowing that they will probably bully me again. "Oh, hi" I said back to her. "Ray, meet us tonight at 6 p.m sharp at my house. We have to talk to you and I think you would like to talk to us as well" she said. I felt my angry attitude coming back. "Why would you think that?" I asked sassy and annoyed. I tried keeping the attitude back as hard as I could. "See? I told you he isn't like he seems" Arabella said to her gang. "Ray, just meet us tonight and we'll talk. We don't have any bad plans, I promise" she said. Everyone gasped. 

I was confused why they gasped. "Why did you all gasp like that?" I asked. "Bella promised you something dude" Kevin said. "Yeah, you better feel special" Mark added. "Guys! Stop!" Arabella yelled. She sighed and said: "Yeah, it's true that I don't promise things that often and if I do, I never break them. And if I break one of them, I'm ready to kill myself" she said, which made me jump. Wow, she really cares about honesty. "Um, yeah okay, sure, whatever. I'll meet you tonight then" I finally said. "Great! And none of you better not be late. It won't do you any good, if you are" she said in a devilish tone. I got goosebumps out of that sentence. "Wait, but where do you live?" I asked. "Oh, right" she said. Arabella pulled out a piece of paper and a pen and wrote something on there, I assumed was her address. She handed it to me and I accepted it. It wrote: Under the big maple tree of Wonders. I was confused. I knew where the tree was, but I couldn't figure out how she lived there. Was she homeless? Nah, i don't think so. "Bye! See you tonight!" she said walking away. "Bye!" I responded. 

I looked at the paper again and then at Arabella. I smiled a bit. But the main thing I was thinking about was that why did they want to talk to me? Do they want to apologize? Do they want to beat me up and insult me? Do they want to squeeze some information out of me? So many thoughts were in my head and in a few seconds I came back to reality, realizing, I had to go to class. I quickened my steps towards class, the thoughts still swirling in my head. Well I guess tonight under the maple tree of Wonders. This is going to be interesting. I continued walking and in a few minutes I made it to class.
