A Normal Day for Her

A/N: I already had both of the stories ready before I published this and I have to do homework so... Here you go. The second story on the same day. This is an OC dominated story with a small mention of Nico. I think it's cute. If don't understand it, I'm sorry. I really don't feel like revealing the backstories of my characters on here. You can look at my main story for my OCs for them if you want.

Talakili was doing her college assignment, waiting for it either to be done or for one of her kids to call for her. She looks at a picture of her family and smiled. And then her twin brother ruins the quiet moment by dramatically bursting into the room.

"Hey, sis! I'm just going hang out with that guy I told you about yesterday." Does this dude not know what a shirt is? T.K. thought as she glanced over at him.

"Okay, have fun. Just don't do anything stupid, alright?" She replied, exasperated.

"Don't worry, I won't!" Oliver tried to reassure her with a smile. It didn't work.

The raven-haired woman sighed. "Just go already. And put on a shirt. It would be a terrible impression on the guy if you preferred talking and showing off to your sister rather than your friend." She smiled at him as the blonde blushed at her suggestive tone, before grabbing a shirt and running out the door with a hasty goodbye.

T.K. chuckled at her brother, and was about to turn back to her work, then she heard a small "Mamma, why did uncle Oli have to go?"

The pale woman turned around to find her little Eva tugging on her shirt sleeve, her blond hair in a mess, blue eyes sparkling with confusion and a gold necklace hanging on her neck.

"He just went to go out with a friend." T.K. smiled at her. 'Friend' my ass. I see how his face lights up when he talks about this guy. I'll interrogate the two later. The woman thought to herself as she picked up her daughter. "Did you need him or me, Sötnos?" (Cutie or Sweetie)

The 6-year-old shook her head. "No. I just wanted to talk to you." The younger dragon said with a slight blush on her cheeks.

"Well, what did you want to talk to me about?" Her mother said. "Is it about finding a 'soulmate' again?' she said, trying to make quotation marks with her hand without dropping her daughter in the air.

Eva and her brother, Evan, always thought their mother very beautiful, even with scars and obsidian scales littering her face. They always thought she would find someone who was her true love, or her soulmate, as their Aunt Lei told them through song. But their mother said she did not need nor want love; her two little miracles were enough for her. They later heard T.K. laugh to herself about how funny it was that she and her brother were opposites even when it came to their preferences. The younger dragons didn't know what it meant at the time, but T.K will tell them about her asexuality when they are a little bit older.

"She wanted to cuddle," Another small voice spoke up behind them. It was T.K.'s other child. "and forgot to tell me." Evan pouted.

"Come on," Their mother said as she stood up and carried them in her strong arms. "Let's go find a way to prank your uncle when he gets home!"

The children cheered of the thought of making fun of their morbror again. Talakili looked back at her desk and looked again at the photo of her family.

She saw every single pearl spirit, her kids and, of course, her very first friend, Nico di Angelo. She saw Leiling, – or was she Cassie in the photo? – Flora and Matthew fighting each other for - it looked sort of like a knife of some kind, though the Dragon Queen couldn't really tell - Maria trying to keep Victoria from biting Sean, Calvin making fun of Theirastra's superhuman height of 203 centimetres (6'8) by placing a hand above her head, and everyone else laughing their asses off because of Skylar trying to put everything in order and only ending up laughing along with them.

T.K. saw all of this in one snapshot of time. Loving can hurt sometimes, but it could also heal your soul. Even if that love is to a whole bunch of crazies. The spirit of the Night Pearl thought to herself before cheering along with her kids to yet again have some fun with a part of her big, crazy family.

On the corner of the photo it said something T.K. had wrote for her family before going to help the demigods in the Giant war; Wait for me to come home.

-.-

A/N: Absolute crap, I know. But I'm allowed to do it and I want to, so there!
