Doctor Park - Chanbaek/Baekyeol

Ch.9

"I was so cool! It felt so good to let everything out! Thankfully Jaemyung acted like an adult and apologized, of course it's hard for me to forgive him right now though. Apparently he met someone who talked some sense into him, that's a relief."

Baekhyun excitedly explains everything that happened, it makes me so happy seeing him like this. We're both getting the lives we wanted, but's there's still something missing...

"That's amazing Baekkie I'm so proud of you." I pinch Baekhyun's cheeks, "Baekhyun..remember when I asked you before you went in?"

"Of course, I'll give you my answer once the divorce is finalized."
"Okay."

I think for a moment..hey wait!

"Don't divorces take like a month? I have to wait?!" I whine.
"Let's see how long you stay loyal to me."
"Baekhyunie!" I frown.
"Stop pouting I'm gonna cry!"

I move closer to Baekhyun and keep pouting which causes him to cover his eyes.

"Don't worry Baekhyun, I'll wait as long as I need to for you. But I'm impatient, don't make me wait too long."
"I won't, don't worry Channie."

I know I won't lose interest in Baekhyun but what if he loses interest in me? Just the thought of it scares me.

"So do you have a place to stay now?" I ask.
"Ah well-"
"I think Kyungsoo and Jongin would be happy to have you stay for a while, they seem like nice people so-"
"Chanyeol, can I stay with you for a while?"

  I smile after hearing Baekhyun's question, "Of course Baekie!"

Unlike the previous care ride, this one was filled with joyful chatter and happiness. Something I haven't experienced in a while. Baekhyun's happy, I'm happy, maybe this will all work out.

"We're here." I say as I park the car.

Baekhyun yawns before nodding. Poor guy must've been tired, I'll make sure he gets to take a nap when we go inside. I get out of the car first and open the door for Baekhyun and gently help him out.

"Chanyeol...this is your house?" Asks Baekhyun.
"Yup...is something wrong?"
"No no! It's amazing."
"I only came here like once a week because of work, but now that I quit I'll be living here again. We'll be living here...until you find a place to stay."

My house wasn't huge, but it was slightly bigger than others. There is a small garden in front of the house with tables and chairs set, which are dusty since they've been untouched for a while, and inside. The house has more of a modern look with sandy brown colored wooden floors, there's also a living room with white couches in front of a pretty large TV, and not far from it is a kitchen with white marble counters, it had everything a kitchen needed and was quite well organized. Between the kitchen and living room, there was a dinner table with only two chairs, I never had more than one person over for dinner due to the amount of work I had.  But now both our lives are changing, no one is holding us back anymore.

"Let me show you the room you'll be staying in."

I hold Baekhyun's small, soft hands and pull him up the stairs which lead to the bedrooms. I walk him into the neat guest room. It was quite plain and I wish I could give him something better but this was what I had for him for now.

"It's perfect Chanyeol...thank you."
"I wish I had something better prepared for you though."
"This is more than enough, really."

I take his suitcases and set them on the floor.
  "Do you need help unpacking?"
"I should be fine, I'll unpack later."
"Alright get some rest for now okay you've had an exciting day so far, and we can go out and do things together later okay?"

    Baekhyun nodded which was followed by a cute yawn. I smile at the adorable sight and carry him bridal style, at first his eyes widened in shock, but then he snuggled into my chest as I carried him to his bed. I set him on the bed very gently and ruffle his hair.

"Take a nap, if you need anything just call my name and I'll come running."

   Baekhyun giggled, "Okay."

       ONE MONTH LATER

(B.B.H)

        "So I don't think we have any reason to see each other after this.." Jaemyung scratches the back of his head.

"Now that you aren't crazy maybe we could be good friends." I smile.

"Yeah..I'd actually really like that." Jaemyung smiles back.

"I'm just curious..what made you decide to change..who?" I raise my eyebrows.

Jaemyung laughs a little, "You're about to meet her."

"Jaemyung!" A woman comes running up to Jaemyung.

"Wendy!"

The way Jaemyung smiles at the girl was something completely unfamiliar to Baekhyun. He could tell that Jaemyung truely adored and loved her. He was happy.

"Oh my god you must be Baekhyun! I'm so sorry about everything-"
"No no it's not your fault. Wendy right?"

The woman nodded and smiled at me, meanwhile Jaemyung couldn't take his eyes off Wendy. Yep, he's definitely in love.

"May I have a word with Baekhyun for a minute? You go ahead I'll meet you there."
"Okay! See ya in a bit!"

  Jaemyung turns to me and shyly laughs, "No we aren't dating yet, we just became really close friends, we met at a mutual friends party,  she's Asian American and she just moved back here. Anymore questions?"
I laugh, "Nope I think you got them all."

   There was silence for a minute, not the bad kind, it was pretty comforting. Who knows if I'll be able to meet Jaemyung as a friend again? This could be the last time we see each other, or we will continue to meet often.

"I'll see you around, Baekhyun."
"This is goodbye for now."

Alas! Jaemyung and Baekhyun are separated. Kinda crappy update but you know what at least I got it out eventually. I'LL TRY NOT TO LEAVE Y'ALL HANGING AGAIN 🥺 Thank you to the few people who waited for me <333
