Chapter 1: Another school day

Marinette's  POV
"Bye Mom, bye Dad!" Marinette yells as she bounds out the bakery door happily, the wind going through her hair. She runs past her fellow Parisians, frequently greeting them. As she looks back to an adorable dog, who's owner is a good friend of Marinette, she plows into a boy who looks about her age. Looking up at him she says, "Sorry about that. I'm really clumsy." He laughs an amazing, chocolatey laugh. "That's alright. Do you need some help?" He asks, reaching his hand out to her. As she grabs it, she takes in all his features. His chocolate coloured hair, his deep aqua eyes, and his kind, caring smile washes over her. She feels her face getting hot. What am I thinking? She asks herself. I already like Adrien! She clears her throat. "So, um, what's your name?" He cracks a smile that makes Marinette fluster. "My name's Jonah. I'm heading to school this morning. Oh!" exclaimed Marinette "I'm heading to school too, which school do you go to? I go to Collège Françoise Dupont." Marinette looks up at him in surprise. "Really? I go there too! But I've never seen you there before? Are you new?" He looks down to her in surprise. "Yes, how did you know?" She giggles. "Well, I just put two and two together." By then they had reached Collège Françoise Dupont. "Bye Jonah." Marinette says, running towards the school. "Wait!" Yells Jonah, immediately catching up with her. "What's your name? Marinette" She says. Marinette... Jonah thinks. What a beautiful name. "Well, farewell Marinette,"says Jonah, grabbing Marinette's hand and kissing the back of it, then walks away. Marinette giggles, face turning the reddest it's ever been. Then, she slaps her head. Again with this Jonah guy! I like Adrien, and that's final. My heart belongs to him! Alya runs to Marinette, shaking her out of her trance. "Girl? Are you okay? Is this another Adrien day?" Marinette shakes her head. "It's just another school day. Just another school day...."
