The homecoming dance was tonight and I was going with cash baker. My long Time best friend who I've known since 5th grade. Also my crush who've I've liked for awhile now.
I finish my makeup before grabbing my ticket and phone making my way downstairs. I was super careful because I was wearing heals, I finally made my way into my living room to see my mom and dad there ready with their phone for pictures.

I do some silly poses as they smile and compliment my dress. "Thank you mom and dad" I say as a knock was heard. That's him I mentally squeal before composing myself I take a deep breath as my dad opens the door.
He walks in wearing a plain white shirt and bow tie with black slacks and dress shoes. He smiles when he sees me as I smile back.
I walk over to him and he hugs me "you look amazing" he says as he kisses my cheek. We hear a faint cry as my mom snaps a picture, "dad are you crying?" I ask as cash laughs.
My dad just nods his head as my mom rubs his back trying to suppress her laugh. I giggle as we pose for our final pictures I smile as my mom tucks a few strands of hair behind my ear.
"You look beautiful honey I hope you have an amazing time" I smile as I hug her "and cash please take care of her she can be a handful" i roll my eyes walking over to my dad who is still crying "bye dad love you" I say as he nods.
Cash holds his hand out me taking it and intwining our fingers. "You look amazing y/n" cash says as we get in the car.
I blush and look down twirling a piece of curled hair "you look good to" you reply shyly. He smiles and you head to the dance.
When you two arrive, he holds out his arm as you interlock them and make your way to a table. You sit and you notice cash looking and acting extremely different.
You place your hand on his and look at him "hey cash what's wrong?" You ask gently as he looks at you.
"I I just really like you and don't know how to tell you I mean heck I don't even know if you like me like that" he says looking down and removing his hand.
You look at him "cash I do like you I uh actually have had a crush on you since uh fifth grade" you say blushing madly.
"You look cute when you blush" you smile and stand up holding out your hand. "Why don't me and you go dance as an official couple?"
He looks up and smiles his big dorky grin and stands up grabbing your hand and dragging you to the dance floor.
You had finally gotten the love of your life...
