"Iiot calm down, shes fine." I hear Audia say, its fuzzy and goes in and out a little but its still clear enough to understand.
I bend my fingers inside my tighly enclosed palms and feel my smooth skin. I arch my back to feel my wings tucked in against my warm back and their tips touching my skin lightly and sending chills down my spin. I bend and pop everythign to feel my body is swolen? Or its just bigger than usual? My hair sweeps over my shoulder from someone playing with it, its not matted. My face feels more alive than it ever was. I open my eyes to see everything in a completely different perspective as before, there is nothing I cant see. I see Iiot sitting right over me and his eyes grew to the size of baseballs when my eyes shot open.
"Is she suppose to be like that?" Iiot asks to Audia, just a little freaked out.
"What?" I ask shoot up and this time I throw his arm out of the way when it comes to stop me.
I open the vissor to look in the mirror and to my surprise I look so different. My skin is so even, my eyelashes are long and pretty, my eyes are a pretty light growing grey, and my lips look so perky.
"Is that how it works?" Iiot asks in amazment to the way my body matured so quickly.
"Thats about it.." Audia says with little to no emotion involved but the car suddenly stopped in the middle of a dirt road that is surrounded by all hardwood pines.
"Where are we?" I ask as I look over my shoulder to Iiot who looks just as puzzled about this whole new terrain as I am.
Everything here is mature hardwoods and hasnt been cleaned up for quite sometime. Trees lay across the road, vines have found ways to drape down in the road, and grass is growing over the once old dirt road.
"We are approximentally 5 minutes away from your old house, I cant take you any further, you must go by wing the rest of the way. I have some extra clothes packed for you in the back." she says kinda upset but we both ignore this and try and go forward with the mission.
We open our doors to be hit with the smell of leaves and a little smoke. The smoke is probably l;eft over from the burning of our house. Im just guessing though. I see that the woods are damp from a light ran that we must have just missed. We walk around to the back of the car and I pop the trunk to see two piles of clothes that are nothing like we would ever wear. In my pile there is a black leather jacket, a frilly aqua shirt, some small heels and black skinny jeans. God this car has zero taste in clothes.
"I know they arent exactly your syle but they will help you fit in with a lot of the other citizens around this area. I packed some other clothes for the other two just in case. " she says really sad this time and I have to say it begins to bother me just a little bit.
We pick up the piles of clothes and begin putting them in a pack that Audia had set aside for us. In the pack was about 3 rounds of extra ammo and a tent looking thing.
I throw the pack over my shoulder and walk over to the cars driver side window. I put one hand inside the window and use it to hold me up as I lean on it.
"Thank you for everything." I say as I pat the side of the car and start making my way to the treeline.
I see Iiot give Audia a small nod and follow in not far behind me. I snap my wings out right before I make it to the treeline and I give one last little look in the car's direction. We will never see this amazing car again. Which sucks but a mission is a mission.
I throw myself into the air, feeling the wind take my wings with a strong pull as my body is lifted into the air. Feeling the struggle that my wings were having to pull my body above the trees. The wind is strong and could really slow us down but we cant let it. I flag Iiot around to flank me as we begin the search for our lost home. Burried in flames the last time I saw it, our only place we ever knew to be anything. The search for Danica and Iiot is on...
