Gumi's P.O.V

It was another quiet night. Miku came back with a twenty pound note, I guess we were lucky this time round. This morning I woke with a start, it was raining and the hole in the roof was leaking as usual. The monsoon rains would start soon and I knew for a fact me and Miku weren't going to like it one bit. I tried waking up early this morning to see if I could find anything in the nearby dumps. That's what me and Miku lived for. If he found misplaced items or money lying on the street we would take it. All of the things we took did us good and so far we were quite healthy.

We survived the coldest months together, of course we could survive simple days like these. Even if some days we were hungry, we still got through them. I was now walking down Hane road, going down the usual route I took on my bin patrols. I was talking to myself to relive the loneliness. It sort of worked but all I ever talked about was the book I was reading at the moment.

Slowly I turned the corner to go down Hana Lane when a loud sound came from behind me. I turned to look at what it was and too my surprise I saw a person. By the looks of it, the person was a boy with blonde hair. He looked some what like the girl I saw the other day, The one who tapped my shoulder. To me he looked like he was also looking for food and money.

I snorted at him and kept walking, hands in my pockets. Little did I know was that he was following slowly behind. I kept peering over my shoulder until I knew I had had enough. "EXCUSE BUT WHY DO YOU KEEP FOLLOWING ME!" I yelled at the top of my voice. This guy was ticking me off. He smirked at my outburst and walked up to me. "I happened to notice you from across the road. You seem torn up" I growled at the boys comment "Only because unlike you, I don't have a home or family!" The boy just shook his head and nodded slowly "About that, I was just going to offer you some money. My sister, Rin said she saw you on the street the other day she felt kind of sorry for you and gave me some money for me to give to you" He smiled then carried on "It's not a lot" He then opened my hand and placed the five pound note in my hand. I placed it in my pocket and turned away "Thanks..." I managed to let out as I carried on with my patrol.

That night when I got back, I had brought back about twenty pound in cash, after looking around the whole town I gave up and began pick pocketing the folk. Whatever worked out was fine for me and Miku.
