Mathews pov

I laugh in my wolf form as i watch drew try to chase a small animal threw the leaves 'stop laughing at me' he whines i smile trotting up to him ' you have to be quiet' he gives me a look making me laugh again. once drew caught him a rabbit i went looking for something to eat on my own, what i found was ... surprising. There at the pond behind my house was a charcoal wolf drinking from the pond. At first i felt a little angry, until it looked at me. that was when i knew the wolf was ... "MINE" mar ,my wolf growled inside my head....no ... it couldn't be could it? once the wolf looked up and we made eye contact, it bolted ' wait!' i bark surprised. Drew came running ' u okay?' i nod but my eyes were on where that wolf ran.... i heard drew whine and a bone snap drawing my attention. he was on the ground leaning against the tree "come on we need to head back" he says with a shaky voice i sigh and i grab where his clothes and hand them to him.  We walk back to the house "so what was that about?" ' what was what about?' i bark he smiles "the wolf?" i give him a look ' i don't know just drop it okay?' drew laughs "okay". Later, i lay in my bed wondering about that wolf. would i know their smell again? would they even like me? what if they didn't? what if they reject me? i begin to feel depressed until drew says "ugh, get some sleep. i can smell ur stress from here." i sigh and close my eyes. one last thought drifted through my mind before i drifted off to sleep... Maybe, just maybe i'll see them again.

erricks pov 

i bite on my short nails once again out of stress " errick. stop. you are making it bleed" i move my hand away shly "sorry" joana smiles "its okay". i look around again hoping to see or smell the wolf again. joana pulls my hand from my face once again " really errick? what is going on? are u okay?" i nod then i pause as i smell the gray wolf that i ran into by that pond... joana smiles and whispers "do u like him?" i blush deeply "n-no!". i watch as the guy sniffs the air and looks around. i freeze when our eyes lock onto each others and do i see relief? joana snaps her fingers in front of my face "what?!" i snap making her look surprised "sorry..." i say. As we walk to class i try not to look around or to bite my nails, however, when i see the boy that made eye contact with me earlier by my locker i started biting my nails again. i see the boy frown as i get closer "h-hey" i whisper he smiles softly "hey" he says softly back "are u mad?" i ask he shakes his head "no not at m--" he cuts him self off sharply and says "no i'm not mad, just curious" i tilt my head slightly and i notice his hand reaches out for a moment before he pulls it back " we'll be late for class matt" says a guy behind him the boy -- matt-- sighs "one moment" he says then turns back to me "what is ur name?" i blush slightly "e-errick" he blushes too as he gets dragged off by his friend. joana looks at me and laughs "let's get to class before we are late?" i frown " you couldn't have helped me?" she laughs and shakes her head " you were cute now come on we only have a few minutes to get to class. we better run" i smile knowing i can run faster than her.

Matthews Pov

i sat in class distracted all morning when finally drew growls quietly at me "dude" i mumble he whispers back "we have a test on this tomorrow" i sigh "i know, i know .... its just that... you know...nevermind" drew looks at me for a moment " what is it?" i shake my head with a shrug then he gasps loudly making everyone stare "did u...." "shut up!!" i yell seeing everyone looking at us. drew shrinks back scared because he has never heard me yell before and never at him. i feel tears well up in my eyes and i turn and run off " wait!!" i hear him yell after me but all i hear is laughs and screaming as tears fall. i shift near the forest and i run and run until i my body can't go any farther. memories attack me while i sleep. a fist hitting skin. screams to make it stop. blood on skin. punches taken for someone else on my body. things not be be mentioned...i nuzzle wakes me. ... i growl and open my eyes. the charcoal wolf is laying beside me and he nuzzles me again with a whine. i nuzzle him back and i notice he smiles. we lay there for a while before i hearandrew calling out my name "matt?" i whine and lay my muzzle on his back ' i don't want to leave this moment' i hear his laugh inside my head ' me either but i have to make dinner for joana,my sister' i smile and lick him. i feel him blush ' meet u tomorrow?' i nod and he licks my muzzle then runs off leaving me blushing.....wait in my wolf form? i was in my human form and pacing when andrew found me "matt what are yo-- wait why do i smell a mating scent...." i blush "oh..." i shake my head "then what...?" i blush again "he helped me threw the ..u know the bad memory thing i have when i pass out...and i kinda licked him in my wolf form and..." drew raises an eyebrow "and...?" i blush "and...he ...i ...nuzzled him..." drew was quiet..."he's your mate isn't he?" i nod. However, i was not aware that errick heard this as well....
