On that day, it all began.
"Job? What does that mean? Is it like a class or something?" I said aloud even though no one was in my room. "I'm guessing it is, cause they seem to do different things. I like this Blade Brandier, but the Steam Gunner seems cool as well. Wait a minute, what's this Adept Rogue?"
I read the given description as a grin slowly worked its way onto my face.
"I can use multiple weapons? By unlocking one after another? I've got to pick this!"
I picked Adept Rogue and chose my beginning job as Blade Brandier. Then as my second, Twin Blades. A third, Flick Reaper. Finally, Steam Gunner. I worked for about 30 minutes creating my character. He wore black pants, a white trench coat with blue outlining, and a blue shirt underneath to complete it.
"Please enter the name of the character?" I thought for what seemed like hours until I finally landed on a name.
"Yasuki. My name is Yasuki."
After an opening cutscene explain the story, I was spawned into a place called "Eternal City Mac Anu"
I saw tons of people, all of different jobs. Two of them came up to me, I saw their weapons and remembered the names of their jobs, Edge Punisher and Harvest Cleric.
"Hey, you're an Adept Rogue, right?" Asked the Edge Punisher.
"Yeah" I answered, I just finished installing this game, I'm really looking forward to it."
"That's cool. Would you like us to help you out and get you going in The World?" Asked the one with the magic staff.
"Sure, why not. I'm Yasuki."
"Awesome, my name is Akira, and this is Lukas." Said the Harvest Cleric.
"A-Akira? Your name is Akira?" I asked stunned.
"Yes, why?" She responded.
"Oh it's nothing." I answered.
"Ok, well anyway, I'll teach you about parties. Parties are basically groups of players when they venture into an area together. An area is like a dungeon, created by combining three area words. But first, you have to invite us to your party. Every player has a member address which allows you to invite them to your party. Here's ours. Now, open the menu, then go to the section labeled 'Party' and invite us." Said Lukas. I invited them and they accepted.
"Nice, now head over to the Chaos Gate, it's the spire in the center. Now open the section called 'Area Word' and put in these words: Peaceful, Leading, Freedom." Said Akira.
"Ok. You got it." I said as I put those 3 words in that order.
"Great, now let's get on with the adventuring!" Exclaimed Lukas.
