He is a cat who is skittish at first but will eventually shows his true colors to cats who earn his trust. His main moods include happy, annoyed, scared and confident.Family:
• Mother- Yewfur- yellow tabby with golden eyes. Adores Cornspots sister for being one of the clans best fighters.
• Father- Shadespike- Black tom with blue eyes. Is often disappointed in his sons ambition to become a medicine cat instead of a warrior.
• Sister- pumpkineyes- golden tabby with orange eyes. Picks on her brother for wanting to heal instead of fight.History:
As a kit, Cornspot always knew he was destined to be a medicine cat. A moon before he was apprenticed, a she-cat, Icepaw, from an older litter was made the Pineclan medicine cat apprentice instead of him.
As a warrior apprentice he was picked on for always looking for herbs instead of prey.
His father basically disowned him after his first moon and a half of training, his mother couldn't care less due to her admiration for her daughters growing skills as a fighter, and his sister, at the time, Pumpkinpaw, would bully her brother for not wanting to be a warrior.
Cornspot would beg to trade places with Icepaw to the clan leader and medicine cat. But even then, they refused to make him a medicine cat apprentice. Saying he just needed time to grow into his hunting and fighting skills.
During her training as a medicine cat apprentice Icepaw would often take Cornspot out with her to gather herbs.
During Cornspots warrior ceremony, only his friends Crowbeak, Icepaw and Jasperkit cheered for him. In the background muttering erupted. "Why bother giving that useless piece of fur a warrior name! He'll leave or die within a year!" But Cornspot didn't care, he had his friends around him and that was all he needed.
After the announcement of the leaders for the great journey reached the camp, the clan was in an uproar. "Why was he chosen and not someone with more skill!" Cornspots father stepped forward and growled down to his son. "Pumpkineyes should be going instead of you! Pumpkineyes is a better fighter! A better hunter! And smarter! You have no skill, only dreams of chasing dumb herbs!" Pumpkineyes approached, telling their father softly she needed to speak with Cornspot alone. He agreed and left. Suddenly her fur spiked in anger. "Why are you always getting in the way of everything Cornspot! I would have made a great leader! But now that chance is gone because of you! Ever since birth I've had to deal with your patheticness and you getting in the way of my life! Like Shadespike said, you have no skills and all you do is chase a fantasy that will never exist! Nobody in this clan is going to follow you! Your worthless! I hope you die on that journey and never come back so I don't have to see you, you sorry excuse for a cat, ever again!" She turned and sped off leaving Cornspot crouched alone and shaking. A tail laid across Cornspots back. Turning he looked into his friend Crowbeaks sad eyes. Behind him stood his foster parents Barksripe and Flypelt as well as Flowerpaw and Glennpaw. Jasperkit and Icepaw stood close by. "We're coming with you Cornspot." Crowbeak meowed gently to his friend. In the end. Jasperkit couldn't go due to him being to young. Icepaw wished she could go with her friend, but was guilt tripped into staying by her mentor and family. She hoped that one day she would see Cornspot again.
