Recap from Chapter Seven - Maggie's P.O.V

I scrunch the letter up and put it in the bin and walk downstairs again. I look around and then out the window to see something very.. interesting. I walk over to the window to see Carl in the distance walking with some girl, that's not (Y/N). She must be new.

My eyes narrow as I inspect him more and watch him walk up the porch with her. She opens her door and turns to look at Carl. I can't make out what the hell is happening but a few minutes later she closes the door and he walks off into my direction.

I begin to raise my suspicion and walk outside and straight towards him. Once he notices me he jumps.

"Oh Maggie! I didn't see you there." He laughs nervously.

"Hello Carl. What are you up to?" I ask.

Same day - (Y/N)'s P.O.V

I awaken to the sweet aroma of food. I rub my eyes and realise that I wasn't in my bed back in Alexandria. Oh yeah lol I'm in Forsaken Falls. I smile as I look at the puppies on the end of the bed sleeping peacefully.

They notice im awake and they stretch and walk over to me. I smile and pat the puppies. I smile and hop out of bed and walk to the drawers to change clothes. I grab out a long tank top and a pair of denim shorts.

I put the top on and realise that this is not a girl shirt because it covers the shorts. It's probably Chase's shirt. I walk downstairs to see Chase cooking pancakes.. but he's shirtless.

His back is facing me so I can see his toned back. I gulp and he turns around to notice me there. He stops and he looks at me with a pancake on the spatula.

His toned body made me feel so awkward but he makes me laugh as he drops the pancake on the floor.

"Shit!" He says. I laugh at him and I walk up to the kitchen counter.

"Good morning to you too." I laugh.

"I uh, you're wearing my shirt." He says.

"Well it was in the drawer soo." I smile.

"It suits you." He smiles.

He turns the stove off and leans on the kitchen counter. I look away from him as the veins on his arms begin to pop out. I cough and look down at the pancakes.

"The pancakes look nice." I laugh nervously. He chuckles in response, knowing he won.

"They are amazing right." He replies as we begin eating.

"I would have never taken you as a chef." I laugh.

"It's my mom's recipe but I'm still a good cook." He says.

"I'm sure you are." I giggle.

We finish eating and he begins to clean the plates.

"Did you wanna put some shoes on so I can show you around?" He asks.

"Should I change if we are going outside then?" I ask.
