Chapter 2: So This Is Where I Die?

Haru's P.O.V (Minami's Dad)

I put my 1 year old daughter,Minami ,to bed, kissing her forehead.

I closed the door to her room and went down stairs to get a drink of water.

I opened the fridge and got the jug of water out and put it on the bench, along with a glass cup. I poured the water in the cup and put the jug back in the fridge.

I was about to take a drink ,but a sword had been implanted into my stomach,causing me to drop the cup ,in which it shattered into tiny pieces.

I coughed a bunch of blood out of my mouth ,tasting the foul rusty flavour.

The sword tugged out of my stomach, pain shooting through my body, which led me to fall the ground clutching my new bloody wound.

I heard a snicker from above,"thats what you get for killing my family."

I looked up ,my vision a bit blurry but i could tell who this person was.

"Kumon Kodomo", i hissed his name.

The black haired man grinned madly showing white teeth.

"Lightning Fox" he said saying my nickname people knew me by.

I coughed up a big amount of blood,causing the pain to double.

I started wheezing and panting ,my vision starting to blacken.

"Such a lovely sight to see" ,Kumon laughed insanely.

'Shit... I cant die here ... I can't leave Minami all alone...i have to ... Contact Rin'.

Kumon started to look around the house ,first going to the living room.

I quickly did hand signs and summoned a fox, Hakubu.

He looked worried,'whats the matter Haru-sama!?Why are you hurt!?' ,he asked me in my mind.

I clenched my teeth ,'Go to Rin! Tell him im dead! Also take Minami with you, Kumon Kodomo is in the house and his getting revenge! Go now Hakubu!' I ordered my ,middle sized, transport fox inside my head.

'Ok! Try not to die! We can probably save you still?'. Hakubu silently went up stairs to Minami's room.

I smiled weakly and whispered,"so this is where I die ,eh?".

My green eyes started to dull ,my heartbeats started to grow slower by the second.

I fell to the side ,my own blood soaking my grey t-shirt and dark blue pants.

And finally, I breathe my last breath.
