Shira's POV
I nod my head when Pidge suggested that he takes me to my room so I could possibly sleep off most of the pain from my twisted ankle. While I was stuck in my thoughts, I feel his arms wrap around me, one behind my back and the other under my legs so he could carry me.
I silently thanked that it was dark everywhere so he couldn't see the blush that was covering my face as he carried me to my room, he ended up having to set me down so he could pry my door open since the power was out the doors wouldn't open automatically.
When he got it open, he helped me get to my bed and I sit down with a sigh, I asked if he could stand outside my door so I could change into my Pj shorts and tank top.
"Ok I'm done Pidge you can come back in." I said quietly knowing he could hear me from where he stood. I stay quiet for the rest of the time since it was just him helping me get comfortable in my bed with the ice pack on my ankle.
"Ok Shira you should be all set to go to bed now I'm going to go to my room and get ready myself I'm just a call away." He said as I watched him leave my room not long after that I fall asleep.
Later that night I was awakened by some type of noise in the hallway, I quietly climb out of bed and creeps towards my open door so I could look out into the hallway. To say what I saw wasn't scary enough it was scary enough for me to even think about going into Pidge's room.
I make sure that thing didn't see me walk into his room and tries my best to crawl into his bed without waking him up, but I didn't succeed in that. I feel his arm wrap around my waist to help me get into his bed.
"Shira are you okay?" He asked in a worried tone while using his other hand to rub some of the tiredness out of his eyes. "I... I uh heard something in the hallway and when I went to check it out, I saw something terrifying." I admitted.
Pidge didn't say much after that because from what I could see he didn't look happy about that and pulled me closer to him in a protective hold with his head laying on top of mine. After a few minutes he spoke softly as I was starting to drift back off into sleep.
"I won't let anything happen to you Shira not while your next to me." He said and that was the last thing I heard before I fell back asleep in his warm embrace.
In the morning I felt someone gently shaking my shoulder to wake me up. "Shira wake up its time to eat." I hear them say. I slowly open my eyes to see Pidge staring down at me, I began to sit up and scoot myself to the end of his bed.
Pidge takes a hold of my hands to help me set down on my feet gently just in case my right ankle was still in pain and kept close to my side as we walked down the dark hallway to the kitchen where we found the rest of the team there already eating.
We both get some stares as Pidge leaves my side to grab our food. "So, what's that all about Shira, why is Pidge hugging your side all of a sudden?" Hannah asked me. I wouldn't lie to them either.
"Oh, Pidge kind of tackled me to the ground yesterday thinking I was the intruder that turned the lights off and happened to twist my ankle in the process." I said with a small shrug and looked up at Pidge when he comes back with our food and sits next to me.
When I was done with my food I was about to stand up and take my plate to the trash, but Pidge grabbed my arm to keep me sitting while shaking his head. "I'll do that, so you don't have to get up and possibly get hurt more." He said which confused me.
That quickly passed as I hear a laugh from Luna. "Wow when did Pidge start babying you, Shira?" Luna teased with a smirk on her face. "He is not babying me, Luna; he's just helping me a bit since I twisted my ankle." I said not taking anything she says seriously.
I got up and headed towards the training room not realizing that Pidge was hot on my heels, I only noticed he was there when I turned to get my training clothes and he was standing there with a worried look.
"What?" I asked as he took me looking at him to walk up to me. "Well, I was going to say I'll stay with you, but I do need to get back to the lions are you going to be okay here in the dark?" Pidge asked now holding my shoulders.
I only nod not wanting to snap at him for just talking so soft towards me. "Okay, I know you can find me if anything goes wrong in here." He said before leaving me alone in the room and I took that as I began to punch a punching bag.
After a while of training, I decided to walk to where the lions were and was shocked to see Pidges computer halfway across the room and Pidge laying on the floor, unconscious. I run over to him and knelt down to check him out. I noticed the blood that ran down his forehead making my blood run cold.
I began to shake him out of fear. "Pidge wake up, wake up please." I begged as I took my towel from around my neck to press against his forehead while looking around trying to figure out who could've possibly hurt him like that.
