I quickly will for armour to engulf the remainder of my body. I feel the black sand begin to creep over my bare left side and face. The sand rapidly forms to complete my set of armour.
I run as fast as I can until I find a small unpopulated back ally. The armour quickly dissipates from my body. I feel a vibration in my pocket,it's my phone. It is a message from an unknown number,it is asking me to meet this person at the local cafe at 4pm. My eyes widen when they reach the end of the message where "Until then Reath." is written. How does this person know my true name? There is only one real way to find out.
I check the time. It is 1:45pm. I then look down at my mutilated shoes.
'I'll need to get another pair',I think to myself.
I slowly make my way home. When I arrive I quickly have a shower, go to my room for another pair of shoes, then have a large bowl of cereal and four pieces of honey on toast. By the time that is finished it is 3:45pm.
I casually then make my way to the cafe. Once I get there it is 4:05pm. I see a girl I recognise,I do not recall seeing her before though. She looks the same age as I do, but who knows! She is about my height,blonde hair down to the shoulders,blue eyes and is wearing a white t-shirt,blue jeans and white runners.
She notices me and I see joy in her eyes. She quickly walks up and embraces me.
I hear the words, "Your late" spoken quietly into my ear.
She quickly notices something is wrong and lets go. She looks at me in confusion. She mutters an apology then runs off down the street.
I begin to chase after her. She eventually gets to an area with many hills. She runs,still with much energy,up a steep hill. Within ten minutes she has reached the top,with me in close pursuit. When I reach the top she is curled up on a large patch of green grass. I slowly walk up to her and as I do,I hear her crying softly.
Her head turns and she looks at me with sad, teary eyes. She slowly begins to stand.
"I am sorry,but who are you?" I ask.
"So I was right. You have forgotten." The stranger mutters to herself more then to me.
She puts her hand out to shake mine.
"I'm Harmony and you are Reath,an Immortal like me."
