A taxi, an old enemy, and Valentine's Day.

"Happy valentines sweetheart, "they were the last words that came out his mouth that truly meant something to me as his hand touched my waist and smiled like there was no other option. His warm yet satisfying breath hit my neck like 10 or thousands of baby kisses on my cheek. As it did, he whispered in my ear "I love you" again and again. I never wanted this to end. Sadly, it had to.

"Beep beep" something vibrated in his pocket he stopped. Suddenly he looked down. He had a mournful look at his face. As he looked his head slowly lifted I asked what had happened.

"I'm so sorry, but my interview for the job has cancelled from next Tuesday to today. A WEEK EARLIER! And, they can't do it any other day. I'm sorry babe."

As he said that I could see the grief on his face. How could I let this opportunity go by? This is could be a start to a new beginning I could not let it stop now if it hasn't started.

"I wish I could spend this day with you but.."

"No its .. Its okay I know how much this means to you go."

"Are you sure?"

"yes go!"

As he approached to the door I wanted to run to him and hold him back and have him in my arms again. Unfortunately now was not the time.
