This is my first story on Wattpad.
Enjoy.Dark clouds swirled around the snow-capped peaks while the wind-whipped, stinging rain battered my face. My neck was aching with a hot sting. Uncanny, huh?
Not only was I hot, in the middle of winter, but my neck also hurt. I was beginning to get a feeling that this would not go well. But I digressed from those thoughts and carried on anyway.
I had marched across the terrain and stopped every few seconds to observe my surroundings. I soon made my way up the mountains to stay protected.
Like a wolf on a hunt, I was keen, alert and ready. Shadows of men drifted the mountain range I thought I was hallucinating. But I kept my eyes on the figures, regarding my next move.
"Why were they so close by?, I had only tracked 10 miles," I said unintendedly out loud.
I froze in place, a shiver when down my spine, "was I about to fail my mission?" Fear ran over me as I panicked on what to do. I was sure the shadowed men had heard me and I was also positive that they were coming after me. Nothing like this has happened before. What was I to do? The wind started to blow, picking up snow which lightly blinded me. The shadows in the distance seemed to get bigger and bigger.
Men appeared before me wearing malicious smirks on their faces with clubs in their hands. They battered my face! You can only imagine what happened next. Before I knew it I was unconscious.
******************************
Waking up in a pool of sweat, lying on by back and talking in huge air in immense amounts, I starred at the ceiling. It was only a dream!
I could have sworn I was just patterned unconscious!, I thought. I turned to pull the blankets back and stand up rather ridgely and almost fell over because of the quick blood rush to my feet and head.
I limped and tumbled as I made my way to the bed room door. Dragging my sleeping right doddle leg I caught the door knop just in time before I crashed on to the barren hard wooden floor.
My mind was just as confused as my body. I was still trying to wrap my head around how I was still alive.
I ran down the hallway in a frenzy, my leg shot bars of intense shock as my feet hit the cold floor. I open the bathroom door so hard it slammed into the wall making a dent.
*Note to self.* Stop acting like a graffiti.
I went about my business still thinking of my lucid dream experience, "Was my dream really just a dream? it felt so real." Why won't my leg wake up! I said to myself maybe a little to loud.******************************
The clock read 4:30am, three hours from when I first woke up this morning.
I now sat at my desk with my laptop and cat in my lap. I consemplated my existence and wondered how it would be like to live a life thought my cat Miss Emmastone Blackwell.
She is a white, black, and brown Snowshoe cat. Her name is inspired by her mysterious and bold look her brown and white furs around her chest and black tail. A beauty she is.
Emmastone sat curled on my lap purring softly as I stroked her fur. A being without worry, how nice it would be to have that bliss.
As humans we are like termites to the earth, expanding our species while contrupting to the destruction to the environment. We are a race of 8 billion, so do I matter? Does it matter if I matter? Is reality real? What does real mean?
After some reflection I have come to the conclusion:
"Life is simple, it really is, but most of us live from the mind and not from the heart, we develop this false belief that life is complicated and that the purpose of our lives is something very complex and hard to find, but that is just nonsense."
Emmastone game a long purrrr."Enough with the meaning of life, why should it matter anyways? We are all going to die one day." And with that I put my hand down, maybe to hard, on to Emmastone's back.
She yelled out a unearthly meow.
I guess growing tired of my speech, she leaped off my lap and slipped out the door, skipping like a prancing proud cat she is. Down the stairs I heard her step. It was not long untill I herd her food boil being pushed across the floor. I laughed, "I guess it is time for breakfast"******************************
