Chapter 3

Reiner and Bert went to go get the captain so he could check our work. What an obsessive clean freak the cpatain is but I'm sure he has his reasons.
"You two did well, now leave."
"Yes sir!" We both said.
We went to go meet up with Connie and Jean. We told Reiner and Bertholdt that they could come along but Reiner said he and Bert had errands to run which I was actually upset they couldn't join us. They are both fun to hang out with. Reiner is the brother of..well..basically everyone. You could entrust your life to him. The same with Bertholdt even though he's shy.
"So how was cleaning you two?" Jean asked.
"It was actually great." I said.
"Really?" Jean asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"Yes. Between us four, Bertholdt and Reiner helped us." Sasha said.
"No wonder you guys didn't take long. If those two didn't help you you two would have been stuck cleaning for hours." Connie said.
"Well, let's go throw some horseshoes." I say.

Bertholdt's POV

Me and Reiner were heading back to the dorms to rest a bit when I felt Reiner put a hand on my shoulder.
"So do you feel something for Y/N?"
"Reiner we've talked about this. Of course not. She's just my...friend." I sigh sadly.
"Why would save her then?"
"What do you mean? Sasha was also there. If we had let Y/N get hurt in front of Sasha could you imagine the trouble the two of us would have been in. I'm pretty sure you would have done the same thing if it was Krista in Y/N place."
I could see in Reiner's face that he knew that I was saying is true.
"Yeah...you're right. But still. I actually have a feeling you actually like her. Well she is beautiful and all, I'll give you that. But I don't need to remind you of what we have to do.
I sigh sadly again. Of course I know. Sometimes I wish I could just tear myself apart for the monster I am.

Your POV

It was time for dinner so all four of us headed to the mess hall and got our food and sat at our table. We were all talking and enjoying our talk when one of the higher ups of the Survey Corps came and gave us an announcement that after dinner we are to meet Instructor Shadis at the Trainning Grounds.
When we got there he was telling us that tommorow would be our first trainning up in the mountains. And we better take as much water as we need since these few days it's been really hot.
"You will be put in a three man squad! When you hear your names your squad is to come up to recieve a map!" Keith yelled.
Sasha, Armin, and Jean were together, Connie, Eren, and Mikasa were together, and I just kept hearing the instructor calling out people's name and then there was my name.
"Y/N, Bertholdt, and Reiner!"
What? I'm with Bert and Reiner? Not that I was complaining or anything but still. I hardly would have imagined being paired up with those two.
The three of us met up and walked to recieve a map to where we were suppose head out tommorow.
The three of us walked out from out of the trainning grounds and it was really awkward cause nobody said a word. Just when I was about to break the silence Bertholdt did it for me.
"So I guess will see each other in the morning." Bertholdt said.
"Yeah good night you two!"
"Goodnight Y/N!" Both him and Reiner said as I headed on back to the dorms.
