After a huge mix-up at her university, Brooklyn Landon gets a day job cashiering at Evergreens, her local supermarket, to fill up all the spare time she has because of the night classes she now has to take.
She actually does enjoy her job; between the people she meets, the stories she hears, and the bright cheerful atmosphere, she's quite happy to work there. Though there is, admittedly, one huge flaw that she's unable to overlook.
Being trapped in a double-cubicle checkout counter with someone else does not call for an easy job at all, not to mention said person, Carter Wyatt every day.
No, working back to back with the hugely dislikable cashier boy who always shares her shifts is not an easy thing to do.
